There's a difference in power between using a Noble Phatasm and a True Name Release (where the Servant actually says the name of the NP). The laser beam thing in UBW and the Vortigern blasts in HF weren't using Excaliburs full power.

That's why in the final attack in Heavens Feel vs Herc you see Saber mouthing "Excalibur Morgan" and suddenly the explosion is 100x bigger. That was a True Name Release, and it wiped out all of Hercs remaining lives (he should have had like 9 left at that point, right?) in a single go.

Caliburn with a True Name Release was able to take 7 lives because its just that strong, but Excalibur is still an order of magnitude stronger.

So Saber only reaches her true potential in the Fate and Heaven's Feel routes then? I think she was also a bit weak in Zero

Yeah, Saber is basically running on fumes for the majority of both Fate and UBW, and unfortunately her vanilla self never really gets a chance to go max power against anyone besides Gil.

As for Zero, Urobuchi thought that Saber in the beginning of Fate and UBW routes was her best instead of her being an asthmatic quadruple amputee, and scaled the Servants in his story appropriately.

I'm joking, of course, but for whatever reason Zero operates at the lowest power scale of the Fate spin-offs despite having fairly powerful Servants lore wise.

Full power Saber is simply too stronk for the Fifth Holy Grail War and the God of the world decreed she must be smited with the nerf bat. I mean putting Gilgamesh aside only Lancer and Berserker really had a chance against her. At full power Lancer would have pretty shit odds. Berserker would of still been able to make it a fight though.

Saber in Heaven's Feel after her corruption is basically her with Cheat Codes on.

Don't sell Lancer short, he was operating under a nerf as well for basically the whole war.

For that matter, Rider actually stands a better chance against her than either Berserker and Lancer. Her actual abilities are completely ridiculous when she's not being nerfed by Shinji's existence.

Saber would beat either more often that not, but it'd be a close fight and she'd lose 3 or 4 rounds out of ten to either.

Several people who had watched the final film already said that this is the best anime film of all time. Can't wait to watch it. Curse you covid19! The first two film came to Australia after a month or so after Japan release. But I wonder if it will happen again, especially Victoria....

Having watched it, I wouldn't go that far. That's just setting yourself up for disappointment.

It was spectacular and amazing though, so don't think I'm just badmouthing it. But the greatest of all time? Nah.

I won’t set myself up for greatest of all time but that part was definitely the greatest part of any of the routes for me.

The first two parts definitely set the bar quite high. Hopefully this third and final part delivers a bit higher given how it plays out.

Also that I'm guessing it may be the last time ufotable can do something to that level due to the tax evasion saga.

It may slow them down a little for a short time (while they get things sorted out), but I don't see it hampering them for long.
