Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS Anticipation

There's a new Yu-Gi-Oh! series by Konami coming for April 2017. It will be the 6th series from the franchise.

The new protagonist is Yusaku Fujiki and setting take places in the "VR world".

VR? Why didn't I think of that?! I was wondering where they'd take the franchise after Arc-V. Guess this answers that question.

True, but what more can they add to this card game with very limited options of diversity?

For some reason the MC reminded me of Sendou Aichi from Vanguard even though they dont look that similiar...

More monsters, more magic, more traps.....oh, and more characters and new (superficial) concept . Heck, this franchise has a lot more going on in it than Pokemon.

Pretty much that what i want too, duel moster pretty fcked up now with the mass power creep. They should put YGO on hiatus to allow us players enjoy Arc-v legacy for a littlle while.
If anything else i hope Konami will not friggin introduce us with another new summoning method, we already had 5 different type summoning method so please no anymore new mechanic again.

Because the moment the series ends, the card game will follow suit. My 2 cents of course But I guess the game must profit a lot so Konami has to keep producing new anime to promote the game

I actually haven't really been following any full Yugioh since 5ds, and I've just gotten into more recent episodes of ARC-V...but I think I'll watch this series because I like Yusaku Fujiki's character design, it's a lot more tamer than some of the other leads and I like the idea of the protagonist being a loner.

But, Yugi will always be no.1 on my list, followed by Yusei for a close second.

I stopped caring after the Egyptian God Cards.

They will always be the strongest cards of all time.

Lol apparently you haven't seen the anime for sun and moon; those are very good. I might give this season a try as well. Seems fun.

Yep, I stopped following Pokemon some time ago in the middle of Diamond & Pearl season. The newer season (XY) still being aired on my local TV and I watch it whenever I happen to catch it on my leisure time, but I still see the old Pokemon formula only with some more seasonings.

I haven’t seen Sun & Moon yet (that’s the newest one, isn’t it?) but based on my experience, there’s not much going on in Pokemon franchise when compared to Yu-Gi-Oh! animes. Heck, I think Yugi’s arc on ancient Egypt alone is more complex compared to the entirety of the first three seasons of Pokemon. So unless Sun & Moon took some radical fresh approach to the Pokemon formula, I still stand by my statement.

All in all, please forgive me for losing interest in Pokemon anime since I'm now 30 and married. Its kiddy storytelling just don't appeal to me anymore, unlike the recent Doraemon movies & Digimon Tri which still has charm and maturity to it that a man like me can still enjoy. Even shows like Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's still have an edge to it. That said, I'm still checking out some new Pokemon movies as my casual effort to keep track on what's happening with Pokemon anime.

Gonna hold off on my opinion on the new series until we see the main female lead.

Now that leaves Yusaku's friends, rivals, and heroines.

Im really going to miss Yuya, Yuzu, and Reiji.
Not to mention Neo New Sawatari and THE MAN GONGENZAKA.
