I had to do a lot of cutting and pasting throughout the project.
Here are some pictures of how it went:

As you can see, I started out with several pictures of the original characters wearing different outfits.
I had to use parts from each outfit in order to find out where I had to draw.
I also used these as references and guidance lines:





What I would normally do is draw over the above images in a manner that it would fit the character the costume was for.
Once my outline was set, I created a new layer just underneath the line.

This layer would be filled with the color.
Then I copied the colored layer so that I had at least three, after that, I made the lowest layer dark, and the upper layer lighter.
Then I would cut each of the upper two layers so that they were smaller then the one underneath, based on how the lighting would be.
I did not cut the bottom layer.
Then I just used select all on the lower layer and clicked it so that the selection would not effect anything outside of the area I was working on.
While still selected, I switched to the upper layers and added a very light inner bevel for a somewhat 3d effect, then I added a blur effect.
I used a redial blur on the dresses followed by a normal blur.
To add an extra effect, I would draw a line on a new layer over the colored layers, but underneath the original outlined layer.
I then used tools such as push and smudge until it created a shaded effect.

Palsa san. This must have been really tiring but the results are really good. I just want to mention that ~desu's right hand looks weird. keep up the good work!

Yep, I now, I had to finish it on short notice, so I might make a few updates later.
