It's sort've funny bc when i was playing muv luv alternative for the first time i trying to be super careful not to make bad choices that might lead to a "bad ending" but found out that there is only one ending and it doesn't matter what choices i make lol. I haven't gotten around to playing it for a second time yet.

The original Muv-Luv game has 19 endings. Muv-Luv Alternative is the one with one ending. The other games after that are all single story line with no options at all.

Kinetic Novels rather than traditional VNs it seems. And "choices" are simply there for extra CGs.

muv-luv come first -> than All You Need Is Kill -> then alt(originally it was suppose to come out with unlimited)
and both have same element of novel story that come before them

it's like people talking who come first?

This reminds me a gundam SEED fic where the author ported in the F91 and VSBRs and one reader thought that was based of Code Geass VARIS.

Or the time people said the bible was ripping off evangelion, lol.

I think i'm going to learn Japanese so i can enjoy this and many other great series that are only in Japanese. The phonetics sound more or less easy to learn but the kanji (I do not know what alphabet system they use) looks difficult. Does anyone have any comments about learning Japanese?

I just re watched the ending of muv luv alt, meiya's death, and it's still so sad. the author is ruthless doing those things to his characters. the only good thing of that ending was that kasumi didn't die. Too much if everyone died

Well Yuuko, Akane, Munakata and Kazama survive too though but they weren't involved in the Original Hive infiltration, so yeah i understand your point. I actually cried during the Meiya death scene in Alternative. I started to get emotional when Kei and Sakaki sacrifice themselves, almost cried when Tama and Mikoto died and finally cried at Meiya's part. Too emotional, i kinda wished that there were option to avoid all those. T-T

definitely. I wouldn't mind one bit playing the the game the way it is the first time because it is an emotional masterpiece, then the second time you can make different decisions to get a "happier" ending (i have noo idea what kouki thinks is "happy") but yeah i hear fable has no heartbreaks (well kouki didn't make that game) and continues from the ending of alternative, but i don't know how to read japanese =_=

Less complaining more studying i guess

The only things that really affected me were the ending and when takuru developed ptsd and returned to his world, that was so messed up. I didn't get tramatized by the "CHOMP" because i finished the rest of the game that same day and didn't have time to think about poor marimo. I might have still had nightmares of the chomp if i didn't finish it all at once lol

Seriously they will animate Schwarzesmarken?

Why won't they animate the main series or when it all happen. Though that will probably take at least 4 cours to make sense of those trilogy.
