No, they aren't as dry because the multiplayer aspect (both PvE and PvP) keeps people engaged. It only really feels this dry at the end of an expansion when you feel like it isn't worth grinding for anything because it'll all be power crept/worthless within a day or two of the new expansion coming out.

The MMO comparison isn't exactly valid, considering the F2P business model requires different levels of engagement than a subscription model (although, Genshin pretty much has both)

With a free to play business model, since not everyone is required to pay, it also means the game is not reliant on a majority of its playerbase for revenue. The revenue for gacha games more or less comes from the whales. The game also does not necessarily require extended engagement either - people can always come and go.

With a subscription based model, players are more encouraged to be engaged because... well, if they aren't, then they aren't paying every month.

Aren't most MMORPGs free-to-play lately? Apart from WoW and FFXIV, it seems most of the titles launched in the past three or four years are running an F2P model.

Tried to pull Venti but got Mona instead. Ah well, I guess I have to stick with Sucrose for Ameno. At least, next *5 I get will be guaranteed .

This banner is a trap. Only attraction is Roasaria. Childe is good but not everyone want him. And many players already have Fischl and Barbara at C6.

I actually got a Sucrose C1 so I won't be doing the Venti banner anymore. I'm also not interested in the Snezhnaya banner despite Rosaria, so I'm guessing I'll just be saving everything for the new one at the end of the month.

Yeah, wise decision to skip out on this banner.

But I have way too few characters due to intense planning of rolls. Skipped Venti rerun because of a lack of interest in his kit, and skipped Xiao because his play style ain't to my taste. So I'll try rolling this time.

You'd probably want at least 1 CC anemo like Venti or Sucrose. Jean and Xiao really don't do CC.

Yeah, their move to gather everyone together really helps when you have a lot of small enemies like little slimes, hilichurls or unshielded abyss mages.

I probably try 50 roll to get Rosaria because my Dragon spine spear is screaming for her.

Speaking Venti, he really made good synergy with Xiao. His e skill open plunging access for Xiao mobility.
Sucrose also good with Xiao in term collects energy particle she is faster than Venti.

Venti does more damage but tends to launch everyone into the air which makes it a bit harder to hit them all. Sucrose groups them on the ground. Sucrose C1 let's you do it twice.

I'm currently sitting on 47 wishes, so I'll probably stop there and wait for 1.5 assuming Cryo Waifu will be released then.

The ruin guards extreme difficulty are annoying tough.

My Xiao must not built well because I can't finish five of them despite my 1.600 atk and 77 Critical rate / 144 Dmg.

Someone in YouTube give tips to use Kaeya and Barbara because cryo has advantage in this round.

Problem my cryo are not built well neither Kaeya and Chong Yun.

Anyone have a tips?

You only need characters to freeze enemy. You don't need them to do damage. When enemies are frozen, switch and hit with your main DPS for shockwave damage.

If you don't want to freeze enemy, you can bring in Sub-DPS like Fischl, Albedo and Xingqiu to increase your team DPS while Xiao do his thing.

Also, hit the weak spot of those robot to make them fall down. Their armor seem to be are weaker in that state.

The next part will be much harder for people who (1) are not geared and (2) are not used to HP management. We'll be fighting a single Lawachurl and there will be buffs depending on how low your current HP is.
