Dammit, I was thinking it had been a little while since I had seen a more "hard" sci-fi show and was looking forward to it. Any idea if it's going to be one installment or multiple ones (a la Break Blade/ TowanoQuon).

So I finally got around to looking at the offers for summer anime and I must say that it's a bit disappointing to say the least. Oh well, I do have quite a bit of backlog from the last few seasons so I guess I'll pick that up.

And now for the shows.

Must Watch
  • Rinne no Lagrange 2 - obviously
  • Code Geass - let's see if they can redeem themselves with these couple of OVA
  • Arve Rezzle - I miss decent scifi, let's see if this is at least enough cover that for a few months

To Try
  • Kokoro Connect - been waiting for this one for a while, let's see if it pans out
  • Sword Art Online - I'm starting to feel some hype for this one so let's see how it goes
  • Horizon 2 - The first season left a bad taste in my mouth (pretty much wtf almost all the way to the last episode)
  • Tari Tari - Let's see how PA Works does with this one

With a few OVA in there time won't be an issue even with job hunting I reckon. Let's hope the autumn season picks up the pace.

Watched Summer 2012 anime preview so can finally see whats out this season.

Must watch:
Sword Art Online - A MMORPG theme anime? I'm in!
Rinne no Lagrange 2 - Need more Woof and Maru.
Code Geass(OVA) - Its Code Geass.

Will check out:
Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse - Might be the type of anime i'm looking for.
Binbougami ga! - Enjoyed the manga.

Might try:
Oda Nobuna no Yabou - Trailer was good enough to check out.

Will watch:

Sword Art Online - The L/Ns are amazing, so I'm hoping this is too.

Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate - Dem character designs.

Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse - A certain friend keeps telling me to watch it; so I guess I will.

Rinne no Lagrange S2 - Season 1 was fun enough (stil have to finish it), so I'll be sure to watch S2.

Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon S2: - Loved the first season; let's see where season 2 takes us. More Honda Futayo is always good.

Will try:

Kokoro Connect - It's got a cute art style.

Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai - Getting DxD vibes from this. Main heroine is a red head with long, flowing hair that wields a scythe? Oh god yes. I just hope it doesn't turn into an ecchi harem fanservice show.

Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imoutu ga Iru! - Cute art style, interesting premise. Better not be a harem, and if it is, I hope the MC chooses a girl by the end of the show.

Natsuyuki Rendezvous - I don't like the main heroine's hairstyle, but I'll give it a watch nonetheless.

Hagure Yuusha no Estetica - Eh, I'm not too sure about this; hopefully it won't be too.. shouneny.

Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita - Nice art style, cute premise.

Campione! - Eh, looks interesting enough, but I hope it doesn't end up as a harem anime.

Arcana Famiglia - Premise sounds.. interesting enough. I don't know.

Tari Tari - Because Okada.

Will watch:

Sword Art Online - MMO setting + Yuki Kajiura = awesome.

Natsuyuki Rendezvous - josei + noitaminA = instant watch.

Rinne no Lagrange Second Season - the first season was a good watch, so, why not?

Will try:

Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita - the weird anime of the season, sounds intriguing enough to check it out though.

Chouyaku Hyakunin Isshu: Uta Koi - josei again, but I hate the fact that the setting is Japan's Heian period. Who knows?

Binbou-gami ga! - concept is interesting, may be the comedy of the season.

Campione! - I tend to enjoy LN adaptations, hope it delivers.

Kokoro Connect - the art style instantly reminded me of K-ON, which is not a good thing. But the concept of ''switching bodies'' seems interesting if it generates good comedy/drama.

Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru! - I don't know why I feel compelled to try this one out.

Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai - the main chick is sexy, the main dude is funny, and there is that awesome dog, Caesar. The plot will most likely be sh*t, but who cares when you have an epic dog and funny characters.

The four shows that I'm absolutely guarantee to watch them asap if it means resorting to Chinese subs:

Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate
Sword Art Online
Kokoro Connect
Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon II

However that being said, three out of those four shows airs on the same day -_-;

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sunday (3 Shows)
--------
1. Sword Art Online - Possibly Dengeki's Number 2 title after Index... No way I'm missing it out.
2. Kokoro Connect - I probably should watch it in Chinese anyway so that I can ease into the Light Novels afterwards...
3. Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon II - If the fansub schedule is like the first season I'll most likely watch the Chinese subs.
* Honestly, I don't know if I want to pick up [Dog Days'] and [Ebiten], I suppose I could leave it for Tues/Wed/Thurs when there's nothing else to watch...*
Monday (2 Shows)
---------
1. La Storia Della Arcana Famiglia - Oh my God a reverse harem! I've heard SO much about you! If nothing else this would definitely counts as something 'different' heh.
2. (Hyouka carries over from Spring)
*I'll keep an eye out for TARI TARI and Muv-Luv to see the response of others first before deciding if I'm jumping into it.*
Tues/Wed/Thurs
-----------------------
*Nothing to watch on these three days... Might bring some shows from other days over to fill the gap.*
Friday (3 Shows)
--------
1. Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate - Been waiting for this a long time now... Fell in love with the Visual Novel's Visual.
2. Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru! - This could go either way, but I'm getting a good feeling...
3. (Eureka Seven AO carries over from Spring)
Saturday (2 Shows)
-----------
1. Campione! - Came with a 'recommendation' from a 'Friend'.
2. (Accel World carries over from Spring)
*Ahh Ecchi-Saturday.... After failing to get into Highschool DxD last season, I get the feeling it's time I move away from that genre... That being said, Studio Feel is pretty good at balancing their story with their fanservice, so maybe I'll keep an ear out for Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai....*
The shows that I will watch
- Sword Art Online: People seem to like the light novel and looks interesting
- Hagure Yuusa no Estetica: Don't know why but it has caught my eye
- La Storia della Arcana Famiglia: Kick-ass heroine, reverse harem and comedy. Hope it doesn't disappoint.
- Natsuyuki Rendezvous: Liked the PV and I need some josei doses
- Hakuouki Reimeiroku: Loved the visual novel (not otome since you're a guy and can even end up with a girl), plus Seki Tomokazu and Nakata Jouji (Gilga/Kirei duo) voicing the main characters.
- Chouyaki Hyakunin Isshu: Uta Koi: Don't know what to expect of this but will try it and Suwabe Junichi+Aya Endo
- Code Geass: Bokuko no Akito: It's Code Geass and I like the main characters (at least their designs and seiyuus)
- Blood Lad: Curious, will try the first episodes
Sword Art Online
Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon II
Accel World (carry over)
Nothing else looks particularly interesting besides those two. Looks like its gonna be a quality over quantity season for me but at least the three shows I'm watching should be enough awesome to carry me.
To be honest this year's summer season's line-up of shows doesn't feature any shows that pique my curiosity right off the bat.
I'm looking forward to Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon second season this summer, because the first season was more or less good to me and ended with a cliffhanger note right after the closure.
Thankfully, Saint Seiya Omega, Accel World, and Eureka Seven Ao are continuing this summer with their second cour broadcast, which will be enough for me to keep me entertained.
Let's see if I can pick-up any good summer season show for a second impression.
Will definitely watch:
  • Sword Art Online - The sword lover and retired MMO player in me both demand that I see this.
  • Blood Lad - I love the manga, so I cannot miss this. Staz! Fuyumi!
Will likely watch:
  • Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai - Been reading the manga adaptation of the novels.
  • Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru! - Ditto for NakaImo as with Dakara Boku.
  • Campione! - Eri Kitamura in the cast? I'm in.
Will probably watch:
  • Hagure Yuusha no Estetica - Life after the hero finishes his quest? Might be interesting.
  • Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate - Possibly atypical. I cast a vote of interest in this.
  • Kokoro Connect - Premise sounds interesting, but character designs give me pause.
Might watch:
  • Tari Tari
  • Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita
  • Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse
Sequel/Spinoff/OVA watch:
  • Dog Days' - sequel of a show I've seen.
  • Yuruyuri♪♪ - sequel " " " " "
  • Aruvu Rezuru - *saw mention of Eri on ANN* *added*
  • Code Geass Gaiden: Boukoku no Akito - spinoff(?)
  • Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru: Futari no Elder - sequel; Also, Eri. 'nuff said
Carryover watch:
  • Accel World
  • Saki: Achiga-hen
