oh shi- epic rushes are epic.
Gotta give it to the Saki faction though, holy shit man.

Since im not very confident in Yamada winning this match I think im going to support the troll end now. Nodoka vs Koromo finals pl0x. Then I can put this saimoe next to saimoe 2008 in terms of awesome.

That was some rush by Nodoka. I just don't get her fans. At least her victory puts me up to 1 for 3 on my top 8 predictions

Voting Yamada today, of course. Though, whoever wins this one will have my support for the rest of the event; Yamada enthusiastically and Azusa reluctantly.

And omg where is the tracker!? I NEED MY TRACKER!

Spoiler:

Vote code numbers are already in 400+ range. Either there's some epic fakery going on or that's a huge first-hour push. No wait, a lot of people won't use their code immediately after obtaining it. Still, the stream of Azusa votes was demoralising a little.

Well, that majorly sucks.

Pick: Azusa
Prediction: Azusa

I still think Yamada isn't close enough Azunyan to beat her. I'm really worried about the semis though...

Wow, I didn't quite expect this, poor little Shana ;_;, but I think the idea of Nodoka winning annoys me more than the idea of Shana losing.

<<中野梓@けいおん!!>> (Nakano Azusa @ K-ON!!)

Going with Azu-nyan, I'm not sure if she can make it, Yamada's been very strong so far. I'll be happy with any winner though.

Taiga already took care of her last year. Leave it to Nagi for revenge this time.

I didn't vote yesterday and expected Nodoka to win. Crazy... I think she can win this thing.

Today is the toughest quarterfinal match for me to vote on. Azusa or Yamada... Real tough. I still need time to think it over. Watch Working!! and the last 3 eps of K-ON!!.

The tracker seems to be 'down' at the moment. Or the new linkage to it has not been set up.

Thanks, Seishi (below). I was about to turn blue there, and I don't want a spot as a character on 4Kids!

Lolimoe with a side order of oppai... I guess that works for me. That's what I get for doubting the Saki faction after believing in them for The Koromo.

Oh well, I'll be quite satisfied with the semifinals no matter who wins today's final match. I want to say that Azusa is going to crush the competition; however, I also said that Yamada had no chance in hell against Kanade, and look where we are today.

I love both combatants, so I just want a good match. As long as whoever wins takes down Nodoka in the semis!

Moar Oppai!

Azusa will probably win today, and probably the whole thing too. Still be interesting to see how Yamada does. She's the only fun character left.

Oh Japan, I take back all the bad things I said about your taste after previous matches. Azusa, the eventual winner, will continue on today. Trolling levels at maximum, faction politics run rampant, backstabbing, tears, cardboard, strategic voting, shocking last second upsets, and zettai ryouiki: this is how saimoe was meant to be.

Yesterday's Results:

Shana - 890 (48.47%)
Haramura Nodoka - 946 (51.53%)

My streak of bad predictions continue. Using a last hour rush, Nodoka manages to take down Shana. This makes two years in a row Nodoka has made the semifinals and two years in a row two Saki characters were in the semifinals. I really though Shana was going to beat Nodoka so I'm pretty shocked at the loss. Nodoka is going to have to wait for the results of today's match to see who her semifinal opponent is going to be. Maybe this years she can at least reach the finals.

Today's match: Yamada Aoi vs Nakano Azusa

Yamada Aoi

Past Results:
Round 3: Aoi 748 (50.54%) - Kanade 670 (45.27%) - Komoe 62 (4.19%)
Round 2: Aoi 458 (56.13%) - Iwasawa 161 (19.73%) - Erika 197 (24.14%)
Round 1: Aoi 605 (52.38%) - Akiko 314 (27.19%) - Imouto 147 (12.73%) - Himeko 89 (7.71%)

Preliminary Group 14
1 - Mihoko - 446
2 - Aoi - 430
3 - Nozomi - 396
4 - Suruga - 277

Nakano Azusa

Past Results:
Round 3: Azusa 1052 (46.76%) - Mikoto 1026 (45.60%) - Mio 172 (7.64%)
Round 2: Azusa 653 (47.42%) - Momoko 463 (33.62%) - Poplar 261 (18.95%)
Round 1: Azusa 425 (68.88%) - Kozue 100 (16.21%) - Shannon 62 (10.05%) - Rin 30 (4.86%)

Preliminary Group 1
1 - Azusa - 362
2 - Poplar - 355
3 - Nadeko - 336

The quarterfinals pretty much flew by. We're already at the fourth quarterfinal match and the fourth last match of the year to decide the fourth member of the top four. Yamada Aoi came as a bit of a surprise competitor. Considering the performance of the other Working characters, not very many people saw her as a threat. That changed when Aoi took down Tenshi last round. Aoi didn't have any particularly noteworthy opponents in the first two rounds so her true strength may have been masked. Although preliminary results aren't very reliable, she did nearly match Mihoko and beast Nozomi. It's also possible that Aoi was just being used to take down Kanade and isn't actually as strong as that made her look. Even if that was her true power, she's going to have a very tough time with Nakano Azusa. In preliminaries and again in Round 2, Azusa took down Taneshima Poplar who probably should be stronger than Aoi. In Round 1, Azusa just casually completely obliterated her opponents and nearly hit 70% of the votes. In Round 2, Azusa actually nearly beat Momoko and Poplar combined. Considering Koromo and Nodoka's performance, Saki characters haven't really lost much, if any, from last year. Momoko should still have been very powerful and Azusa won as if it was nothing. Finally Azusa went on to win a Round 3 match that should have killed her. Mikoto is an exceptional powerful opponent capable of reach over 1000 votes. Akiyama Mio was in the match to slightly hold back Azusa. Azusa managed to take down Mikoto anyways. Overall, I don't think there's any real question that Azusa has had the more impressive performances. Of course, looking more impressive certainly didn't help Mafuyu, Ruiko or Shana. However, fourth time is the charm so I think Azusa can pull this one off.

My prediction:
Aoi - 49.00%
Azusa - 51.00%

I'm voting for Nakano Azusa.
