Takahashi was making anime/manga before many of us were even BORN, and her style has actually gotten worse/hasn't changed
her age is beginning to show, sadly
she can still tell a story, but drawing...eeeehhhhh
lol I completely agree, storywise she's the top but drawing wise .... somewhere along the gutter Well, along the way I've gotten used to her style so it doesn't bother me as much any more. But contrary to Kyuven i actually like Inu Yasha's art alot more than Ranma's. Her strongest point are still the characters, some of them are so mysterious and awesome ( Kikyou and Sesshoumaru for example) that they just keep you attached to the story.

Sometimes I wonder what the original artists think when they see the Yaoi or other less innocent version of their own work ...

Inuyasha: this guy has more similarities to Ranma than i can begin to count, and doesn't realize that this girl hanging around him has the hots for him
Ah, finally found some episodes of Inuyasha -the first 8. To me, it seemed rather amusing, but hopefully the artist will soon decide to move on and make it a romance.

Does he...?

many of them don't know what to say since they were likely doing the exact same thing before they hit it big (CLAMP and Ken Akamatsu, for instance, were doujin artists before they hit it big)

Heroes are us

Hmm
Well, Takahashi uses traditional woodblock-print-style work, which is fairly 2-d. This is one of the reasons I like a few of her titles - Mermaids series and Inuyasha with cultural/folklore goodies. The art looks like it's traditional Japanese.

I don't know if the creator of kono mini(I think that's where the avatar came from) intended it, but a girl wiping cream from her face is considered phallic regardless of the original intention.
