Yep! Would also explain how she has (from what I've gathered from this thread) a keenly observant analytical mind like Batman (or close to it, anyway - Batman is exceptional here), but the flare and style of the Joker.

Tsuruya is the character I'm most curious about! What is her secret?

Why is she at North High for a start? The Tsuruya family is made out to be extremely wealthy and ancient, and Tsuruya herself is said to be one of the most intelligent people Kyon knows. North High is made out to be a pretty shabby school, with Kouyouen Academy shown to be a much "better" school for girls.

Oh, there's something more to Tsuruya than what we've seen, and that probably is a part of it. My guess is that, as we already know that her family funds Itsuki's organization, and that she's got an impressive perceptive ability, she figured out the Haruhi thing before the course of the series, and made sure she was at North High to witness things from the front row.
