Right. And character development which would be a deal breaker for a lot of game players for obvious spoilery reasons :P. On the plus side it sounds like it has great production values so we defenitely know it won't be another P4 in that department.

As someone who has played this game to death, I already know that there's hardly any way to make this thing faithful to the game.
After all, if you did that, you'd get one boring-ass anime. It just doesn't work that way! |

I've largely avoided this thread and will likely continue to do so for a while to avoid game spoilers (have only finished one ending so far), but I just have to say one thing. This series has the potential to be hilarious if they do something similar to how the Persona 4 anime portrayed the protagonist (incorporating gameplay-based elements like rarely talking unless spoken to and responding with one-liners into his personality, going with some of the sillier response choices at times, etc).
I can see it now: the protagonist as a very strange guy who basically never talks and communicates almost entirely with exaggerated facial expressions, with a tendency to accidentally sneak up on people and scare the crap out of them, while simultaneously awing everyone with his incredible skill. Makes me laugh just thinking about it. Bonus points if he gets freaked out about Makoto being a "pervert" when bursting into his room. (I will never pick any other option for those scenes in the game). |
