Yeah, I don't think it's so obvious as having female Natsuru tell Sakura she's not interested in girls and everything will be better. I wouldn't call Natsuru stupid because honestly, who has gone through this same experience as him? Nobody. Being around Sakura might allow female Natsuru to plant some seeds to get Sakura to like the male him. Telling her she doesn't like girls doesn't help Natsuru much actually, in my opinion.

Just watched Episode 5...
You know, if you dig beneath the flashy anime troperrific exterior, this show really is rather clever, and there is a truly serious undercurrent to everything going on here. That comes through particularly well in Episode 5. What we have here is 4 dead-serious characters against the backdrop of utter insanity. I kind of like this... Natsuru, Shizuku, Akane, and Sakura are in the eye of the storm, and hence ironically the least affected by it's insanity-inducing ways. All around them is sheer unadulterated chaos, played mostly for laughs, and yet they themselves are playing it all straight. Natsuru is doing his best to simply handle the situation as best as he can. As I wrote before, he can freeze and stutter a bit in tense moments, but really... he's not being stupid here. He's simply being true to himself. In fact, I very much liked how he handled the meeting between his male self and Sakura in this episode. It's interesting to me that he's actually smoother around Sakura when he's a guy than when he's a girl; this in spite of how Sakura obviously likes him a lot more as a girl. Akane and Sakura are clearly competing intensely with each other for Natsuru. Even red-haired Akane is showing real signs of having the hots for Natsuru. The two Akane personalities are coming closer together for me... the softer glasses-wearing one was very assertive and decisively well-spoken in this episode at times, while the red-haired one briefly betrayed a deredere side as it pertains to Natsuru. Finally, I think that Shizuku is genuinely interested in Natsuru as well. She's simply playing everything cool, and manipulating scenes to her advantage. Very nice relationship dynamics, made that much more pronounced by the mass hysteria all about them. Finally, I very much liked the actual contest. It was a very nice microcosm of the anime as a whole up to this point. All told, I like the writing for this anime. They've taken something that could easily be made purely silly and derivative, and infused it with some really clever writing and character/relationship development. I'm very much looking forward to more! ... I'm even going to let the favorable comparison to Haruhi slide.

Watched episodes 4 and 5 today, both were pretty good. Something I noticed in Episode 4, in the Karoake scene outside the room, I noticed that Sakura didn't make any sign of having noticed that Shizuku was in Kampfer form, how do you not see the glowing white hair.
as far as episode 5 goes, liked the "Photo Shoot" saddly no appearance from the Samara looking girl. Liked the checkmate line from Akane, and the TL note that appeared at the time, remindes me of the ones from Guin Saga and Needless.
