Losing interest in this show. No Mahou Shoujo Kikko is a boring episode to me.

Still don't know what to think about this show. The whole drama was pretty forced and silly (genocide by accident?) but there seems to be a build up to something grand that's still kept my interest. Still don't know how long that'll last.

That part wasn't the drama, though. It was only accident because Fuurouta had no idea what he was doing - but the Bureau had had the virus and were debating on whether to step in or not when Fuurouta just basically went to do his own thing. (Which itself also tied into the way the "superhumans" and the Bureau itself are treated by the government.) The drama was that Fuurouta was trying to be a hero of justice, but unbeknownst to him he committed something terrible. And then they let him join the Bureau (and apparently nobody cared to tell him that he just killed his new friend's people), because he's naive and optimistic enough to not notice what's really going on.

I wasn't sure about this show first, but second one sold me. It is pretty solid and might one of best shows of this season.

Let me rephrase it: nobody cared to tell him what he'd just done. He thought he'd done something good, and apparently all these years they let him think that he was one of the good guys.

But the bugs aren't also doing something good. Sure they are punishing the politicians that had forgotten an ancient contract but its old and to city development cause expansion of land and will eventually covered the rain forests. Its natural thing.

If the bugs aren't harming someone then they aren't the bad guys but they do. They take over the diet building and they are causing problem.

Its easy to see it as black and white, like what the ghost said but the reality isn't as kind as that.

Not sure what you thought I was referring to but what you said in bold was what I was actually referring to.

That ain't natural tho... natural means build by nature without human intervention...

City building is basically the biggest human intervention there is, lol.

Spoiler for semi-rage about human nature:

Putting aside initial argument. That "rage on humans" shows how uninformed you are.

1)Planet has cycles of Ice ages and warmer ages called interglacials. For example extinction of Mamooths was natural result of such climatic change. Humans actually contribute very little to that.

2)That bit mankind does, can be hardly dated back to thousand years as means for massive intervention into nature came relatively recently (200 years ago, plus minus)

3)Humans without tools are same as beasts without teeth and claws. There is no difference. Right now humans are undisputably on top of food chain and that goes even for most primitive tribes.

Episode 3

I think the technology of this show is both interesting and bizarre.
We got some unusual machines this episodes in the form of androids. I find that their purpose in this series goes beyond than just the usual stuff and it's kinda interesting to see their roles.

I guess this might be a short arc or something? That ending seems to connect to the next episode....

Spoiler for 3:

This episode reference is actually quite famous. The male robot who was missing for 28 years is a reference to Shoichi Yokoi.

I think I know where this anime is going but I don't want to spoil it.

Heroes who have lost faith for what they were fighting for and go to war with each other after sine cataclysm or just lost faith in the cause.

That's not what I mean. I mean its natural for humans to use the forest to expand their settlement.

if the cities are already full then its natural to develop new lands for more space to be used.

Ep 03

Okay, in this case I think the "3 ep rule" works...I will be following the series. While I still feel its method of presentation is needlessly convoluted I still enjoy the content and the characters and want to see where they are going with the story (the ED works for me, too, which kinda surprised me).

It is not a series I rave over, but it definitely has my interest and a level of engagement with it.

Lots of Shotaro Ishinomori works references.

The detective is Robot Keiji but more along the lines of Hakaider with a human mind. Hero is portrayed as a modern villain like the Kyodain expies in Fourze.

Girl and boy robots seem to be references to Kikaider but the WWII back story is more along the lines of the spiritual expy Metalder.

That's nonsense.
So it means it is okay to break contracts?
This is no difference than invasion.
It is okay for us to expand out city! So lets burn down your land!

Will you attack your neighbors and take there house if you find your house too small?
No. Doing this to a different species doesn't make that action tolerable.

If anything, the insect's retaliation is natural. Which country on the surface of the Earth is not going to retaliate if they are getting one-sidedly attacked by another country?

Episode 3
So now it is about detective Shiba who is a robot because after he was killed, a scientist put his memories and personality into a robot. They're after a bomber who turns out to be a female android searching for the male android made alongside her to merge (lol). Since all robots made after those two used pretty much the same technology, she is attracted to a lot of robots thinking they are her lover. She supposedly commits self-destruction when Shiba says that her male counterpart is dead or something. But she didn't blow up and five years later he brings that robot to her so they can merge. Poor Shiba thought that they would blow up. Turns out they combine to make a stronger robot.

Some stuff happened to Shiba after his last meeting with the female robot since it looks like he has turned bad. That fight between Jiro and Shiba was turning epic. These guys are really giving us more and more stuff to look forward to.

Shiba considers superhumans to be evil who use their powers for their own selfish desires. Many of the citizens also think the same and the image of superhumans isn't going to get any better later on.

Jiro considers robots like Shiba to be superhumans too. But Shiba doesn't agree.

Jaguar-san has time stopping powers and the old man of the bureau can make people believe whatever he wants. The bureau has a lot of influence in government run things as they took away all the evidence since a superhuman was suspected to have been involved in the bombings.

Next episode is about Jiro’s dad who probably isn't his real dad. We will probably go into Jiro’s past now.

^Nice summary

I'm a little disappointed with third episode, because "Can robot feel love" for me it's a little used up trope.
And it looks like whole main theme is "misunderstanding".

Anyway, there is a nice summary from mal

Timeline so far:

Year 41, Jul - Mahou Shoujo Kikko joins Bureau
Year 41, Aug - Ghost Fuurouta joins Bureau
Year 42, Feb - Detective Shiba meets Meiko

~gap~

Year 46, Apr - Kikko confronts fugitive Jino
Year 47, Feb - Former Detective Shiba stopped by Jino
Year 48, Aug - Fuurouta attacked by Campe and saved by Jino
So looks like after next three episodes timelines will connect. So it looks like 6 first episodes are some kind of parallel introduction?
