Ok, I hope it won't be as terrible as the anime and I really, really hope it just stop deceiving characters like Tiffa or Henrietta to keep them friendzoned a la SAO's style... seriously.

Oh, I only was interested in the anime because of its setting buuuuuut its also the first series that made me hate tsunderes like her and that's why...

ZnT is also the very first novel I read. So I want a good closure too. Though I prefer Tiffa over Louise. Saito deserves better with all the sh*t he had been through.

Well I only check this and the baka tsuki site every couple of months since there's rarely any new conversations or new chapters out. And if I were to regularly check it then I would go crazy waiting. Especially since some things are left as major cliff hangers.

I guess veing an American just jaded my view on what a "lot" of land is then. And we know that Jessica and Scarron are related to the pilot due to their hair as that hair is highly unusual for that world. Granted it is possible that others could have that hair, they seemed to allude that they were all related due to the hair.

no,thank to you,i feel less alone;though to me,the worst henrietta haters seem to be the author himself.
trying to keep louise as heroine for so long,no wonder he caught a cancer...

Well there are reasons for both, especially people who derive their opinion primarily from the anime. However, from what I recall the LNs portrayed Louise as less of a "cancer" to saito and I dont think saito was as much of a jerk as he was in the anime. There are many romantic scenes still left untranslated (my favorite being the cute bath scene in vol 18) in the novels so I would reserve judgment on hating either girl for the moment.

Btw I'm rooting for Louise

Jesus. That the author is befallen with such a horrible, horrible disease. It's always dangerous, Cancer, but now I read it's terminal? It'll be nothing short of a miracle if he survives, so even though I'm not religious I'll wish for his recovery.

Concerning the story, I think it's very much a real posibility we won't get an ending. It's a shame, due to the circumstances...I think my first post on this forum way back in 08' was in this very same thread...

Thing is, if according to plan he tries and finishes at 22 vol. this development with Tiffania and everything (other characters, plot)...there's bound to be loose ends and forced situations (it's a pretty big bomb for so late on the LN) and I'll probably not be satisfied with the ending...I think I'll drop it...few things irritate me more in the medium than watching characters I've grown to care about not having a satisfying conclusion

all depends if the author decided to make an outline in case the worst case scenario happened. JRR Tolkien did that and a book of his was finished years later by his son.

if that is the case it's just a matter of finding someone who can finish up for him. Though the question does become whether he actually wrote it down or not.
