Ninku

Anyone seen this series before yet? any good?

After watching the first episode, It seems like an old series, but it might turn interesting. Very strange characters, Fusuke looks evil to me, he specially weird when he stick his tounge out.

And what's the deal with the guy who wear only loincloth in the opening? only He-Man can do that. ^^

I'm planing to watch it later on, seems like a interesting show.

Animenfo says it is from 1995, so it's not exactly a new show.

I just finished watching and although it wasn’t all that bad i wasn’t very impressed either but ill give it a chance and watch the next couple of episodes. One question though, what the hell is wrong with Fusuke's head?

Well it's interesting enough for me. About empire and soldier, war and stuff, not to mention their goofy outfit. But back then it was in '97 when I first watched it. The plot is interesting. And don't let Fusuke's froggy looks fooled you, he's a bad ass martial artists lol. God it's so nostalgic. I can't believe they subbed it.

Hey, this is really cool. The first episode is kinda neat too. I actually enjoyed it. And you're right, the kid is amazing. What's funnier is the penguin and his "gas" problem. o.0

The main characters looks like a bull dog -.-

Other than that, this anime is great.

Fusuke looks more like a frog. (like sgt.frog)
hey did you know that the seiyuu of Fusuke also is the seiyuu of Fujiyama Sensei in Gokusen. And even Aoi of YUA.

Fusukes mother is some sort of seance.
A guide to call forth the spirit dragon and also involve
in Chinese Astrology Feng Shui stuff.
Maybe because of that awesome power Fusuke became like that (frog face)
A birth defect maybe similar to mongoloid, albino children,
seeing that his mother is a real beauty.

I have ep. 7 sub in Streamload but in LQ though.

Glad you guys enjoyed the episode. We're planning to release once a week, Sunday night (EST), so look forward to then :P

EDIT:

Also, a point that we forgot to make, the titles of the Ninku are based on Chinese Zodiac. The ones mentioned so far, are Ne-nin, which translates to "Rat Ninja", and Tori-nin would be "Rooster Ninja".

I bought a DVD a long time ago that had one ep of this and one ep of Yu Yu Hakusho. I thought it was awesome when I saw it but I never saw any more of it. I was stoked to see it in the Suki release list. Thank you for subbing it and please keep it coming.

Fun series. And there's nothing wrong with Fusuke's head, nor is it anything as profound as a birth defect. It's just a way of making the main character stand out, by drawing him in a different style.

Notice how no one mentions him looking all that weird?

Hey, is it just me, or did anyone else notice that this kid is apparently a lot stronger than he lets on or even than he's shown. I say that because the one time I watched him step it up a bit and really start getting serious, even for as much as he put into his fight, it was more like someone making a thin crack in his veil, but not anywhere even slightly near exposing a hint of his true power. Perty interesting. I kinda find it hard to put into words, but I think "not scratching the surface of his power" probubly says it best.

Why not just put a note on top of the screen at least once letting us know what the terms mean?

or do as Seichi did with Loki Ragnarok... they put some notes and backround stories before the episode started...

anyways... glad you guys picked this up... I saw the first episode by Rice-Box a while ago... I'm glad someone else decided to work on this project.. Thanks
