IMO B's problem was that it felt like it was two completely different shows combined into one. And even then, the connection between Keith and Koku felt more like loose crossovers to justify linking Keith's story to Koku's origins.

S2 needs to better integrate Koku and Keith so they're operating on the same plot tangent and get to bounce off each other (and their associates) more.

Still think they're missing a trick if they don't call it "C: The Continuation" though.

Personally I hope S2 can better intertwine Keith and Koku's plots with each other.

IMO (and many others) S1 felt like 2 entirely different shows smashed into each other, and it didn't help the mystery investigation part with Keith felt stronger then the supernatural action part with Koku.

I loved season 1... though it does raise the question of what they're going to do for S2. There is a plotline or two that could be fleshed out, but those seem more like subplots.

Succession is the title of S2.

And 6 episodes are done and released via Netflix as of March 18.

My only complaint about these 6 eps is that it feels more like Part 1 of Season 2.

The question now is when Part 2 of Season 2 comes out.

It's weird that Netflix decided to release half a season instead of waiting for all 12 episodes to finish production. Episode 6 had some rough animation during that fight scene between Brian and the guy with glasses, so I hope Production I.G gets enough time to do a more consistent job with the back half of the season.

According to B's production notes section on the website, it looks like Succession is only 6 eps long.

Both the creator, Nakazawa Kazuto, and producer Kuroki Rui confirmed they only got 6 eps to play with this time.

They'll definitely need a S3 though, since S2 only feels like a Part 1 of the story.

What the hell, so they really planned this season to end abruptly in the middle of a fight without resolving anything? That's unfortunate to say the least. If they didn't have enough room to tell a full story, then they should have just let the first season be the only one. It had a perfectly satisfying ending and didn't even need a sequel.
