Trolling everywhere lol.

There's no point in trying to guess what will happen anymore. This guy is just remaking the story with every episode, asspull after asspull . Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if the last episode reveals Kanba was good all along and was secretly working with Momoka to bring Sanetoshi down. It's a real possibility now.

EDIT: Oh, and...
Spoiler for ep23:
No one will ever do in this series. It's all just trolling.

And that's why personally I love the series!
BTW, to me it totally feels like Nolan movies in terms of plot twists. Take "The Prestige": at first I was totally WTF at the ending, but then I rewatched it and got a lot of clues. And it's the same with Penguindrum.

So, yeah, another fantastic episode. It was very touching at times even though
Spoiler for 23:

And it seems we can get a happy ending (I'd prefer bittersweet though). But knowing Ikuhara I won't be surprised if it turns out just opposite

You should rewatch the entire show. Everything was predictable.

I can't say that everything was predictable, but a lot of things were indeed foreshadowed.

It's different. There are things in Penguindrum that were never foreshadowed or hinted at. And sometimes Ikuhara even went out of his way to deceive the audience by throwing tons of misdirections.

Don't get me wrong. I don't mind twists, and some red herring/misdirection is ok. But when 80% of the "foreshadowing" is just misdirection you end up a bit worn out. I least that's what happened to me with this series. Over time I really lost the ability to care about the story because it's all over the place, and ultimately I lost the ability to care about the characters because there's never real consequences to what they do.

To each their own I guess.

Predictable and properly laid out are different things.

Hm, I think that's pretty arguable. Anyway, for me it is like that.
To be honest I've watched Prestige few days ago, and rewatched it a day later. So my impressions are fresh, lol.

Well, I watched the Prestige only once and the "twist" didn't seem like a surprise to me, but that's no the point. Ikuhara broke the narrative so many times that it's all over the place right now. And that's no even talking about the lack of "real consequences" thing.

I understand it doesn't bother everyone, but it bothers me.

I don't think so. They've answered a lot of questions this episode. And not all the questions are to be answered, don't you think so? It's Ikuhara after all.
Anyway I hope for Utena-like ending with a lot of things to be speculated.

Most of the questions were answered in this episode I think. The origin of the hat and Sanetoshi, what happened to Momoka, etc.

I don't think we'll be getting a LOST ending. I think that episode 23 actually did a fairly decent job explaining the big mysteries. (What happened to Momoka, who the hats are, the bunnies, ect.) And this is before I've watched the subbed version, even more questions may have been answered. I trust that the last ep will tie almost everything up.

Yep. Definitely Kanba. http://mar.2chan.net/dec/18/src/1323969145479.jpg

Oh I feel ashamed of such a foolish question, I watched that scene too fast to figure it out! Thanks ^^

You and me both. It's my least favorite pairing in this series. I'm a Kan x Himari shipper, but I'd prefer Himari with Sanetoshi or anyone else really than Sho. But it looks like that's the end game pairing, so I'll try not to be too bitter about it when it happens.
