Looking for recent comedy like in 2008 -2009. Comedy with no serious drama for example HAYATE NO GOTOKU and based on cute not like gintama which is has no cute scenes its just funny.

Seconded it's cute and funny, also I'd recommend trying Nyan Koi it's been pretty funny, and cute at times.

since no ones replying i guess there isnt anymore so how about from 2007-2008

You can try Minami-ke. There's three seasons of it out. It's a comedy about three sisters, one in elementary, middle, and high school each, and the antics between each other and their friends.

Bamboo Blade is a pretty amusing show about a small high school kendo team, whose coach and captain are working to get enough girls on the team to be able to compete. It's more of a school life and comedy show than a sports show.

There's also Nodame Cantabile, a romantic comedy about two piano majors at a conservatoire who have opposite personalities.

If you've seen Haruhi Suzumiya already then I'd say these:
Lucky Star was good comedy from 07 if you haven't seen it, though it helps to have seen Haruhi to get some of reference

, it isn't needed to enjoy the show.
While I'd recommend these two only if you've seen Haruhi since they don't make sense otherwise, Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya, and Nyoron Churuya-san the comedy/parody of Haruhi, both are bit short but plenty of really funny moments.

Also two others while not pure comedies, Needless is an action/comedy, and Bakemonogatari had some dam funny moments.

ok i pretty much watched everything u guys mentioned except nyan koi so got any action/comedy like full metal panic or just any action/comedy
