Wink Black Friday 2012

I went Black Friday shopping yesterday. I went to the mall at 12:00 a.m and I got home at 7:00. My feet hurts like hell!!! But I was worth it. I did all of my Christmas shopping so I'm prepared. I was wondering if there are good/bad events that occurred. Also if you went, what did you purchase?

Would be nice to name this thread "Black Friday" for general Black Friday shopping in the coming years. Well, I made plans to buy a Xbox 360 for the sales, luckily people bought them beforehand in the previous years.

^ nice. got yourself a good deal there even though it's not Black Friday discount, but it's still
very good deal. ^ ^

anyways, i bought myself another Vita (assassin bundle, white vita!) just now. thanks to Xellos for mentioning
about that sales on amazon. i'm waiting for more good sales. hopefully i can get
a 3ds xl as well for cheap. i only see them going for $175 @ target. if they're
around $150, i'll buy instantly!

that and waiting for Borderland 2 to go on sales on Steam as well. hoping to get
that game around $25. and wwe 13' for $25 if i see them available. i'll be on the lookout
and lurking around for some more deals!

So, I pulled the trigger on a "door crasher" on the dell.ca website:

24" monitor for $149 (http://accessories.dell.com/sna/prod...1&sku=320-9334)

Might get myself into trouble with some additional online shopping.. I know the fiance has also been eyeing a couple of pairs of shoes.. With all the price matching and killer deals, this could get expensive this year ..

Outlook remains uncertain

I just bought some discounted accessories for my HTC 8X and my mom's iPhone 4 as well as a Microsoft Comfort mouse while I was at it, oh, and some clothes and AA batteries. I think that'll be it for me this year.

Started a 6am, hit three stores by 9 then stopped for breakfast at a local waffle house, then 4 more stores and back home with fish fit dinner at 4pm. Damn I'm tired!
Items purchased; new microwave ($120), new coffee maker ($20), several clothes for the whole family ($100), the most recent release of God of War for a PS3 ($65), several stuffed animals ($35) and one new monitor ($75).
I guess since the stores opened yesterday and last night all the crazy shoppers were done by the time I started, as it wasn't all that crowded nor were there any incidents.
Still might do some online shopping but first I have to reconcile the back account!@~@!

I got some nice pants at American Apparel and another at J. Crew, a great scarf at The Loft, and a really good jacket at The Gap (I know...). Saved a little over a 100 dollars and only had to wait in line for 10 or so minutes (for clothing). Then I went to Best Buy and wasted 40 minutes on some games and Blu-Rays. Only saved 60 or so dollars. Still, good haul and I only had to get up by 6:00 am.

Went to Frys in Renton, Washington (this makes 14 different Frys that I've been to. Unfortunately, this one was themeless) and bought a wireless router for Mrs. ES. Other than that, we just got some Kindergarten age activity stuff for my loli daughter.

Pumped about 2 grand into my first actual souped-up computer. Amazon's been crazy good with shipping already.

so mad...was hoping I would get paid early this week because of Thanksgiving so I could do some Black Friday shopping. Was gonna pay off my 250gig XBOX 360 at GameStop, doing so would have netted me Black Ops 2 in addition with Skyrim and Forza. Considering I have Black Ops 2 for PS3...was gonna keep Skyrim and trade in the other two for credit towards Halo 4

The only thing I tried to get was a camera from one of Amazon's lightning deals (a Panasonic Lumix). It sold out in a second. In that time I was 350 on the wait list.

I said screw it I bought the camera at regular price. Well it was about $10 cheaper so I guess I got a bit of a deal on it. I really needed the camera though and it was an acceptable price for me.

I realize with sales I never get what I need from them and all they do is tempt me to buy things I wasn't planning to buy in the first place. So far this year I've been good though.

Whoa. Nice!

As for me, nothing to really speak of - no shopping for myself or such.

Okay I take it back about not ordering anything I finally caved into the B&N Criterion sale because they had an extra 30% off (it was already 50% off) today and got this:

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/dvd-...n=715515097215

Besides collecting anime related stuff, Criterion is my other passion. Although this is my first Eclipse set. Jean Gremillion is a little known French director in the US. I first saw one of his films on TCM last year and was absolutely amazed (included in this set) so I wanted to see more of his films.
