Blood of Bahamut? From the sounds of it, I thought it was based on the Bahamut of the Final Fantasy series, but based on the gamekyo scan, it doesn't seem that way.
So, its another action-rpg for the DS. From the looks of it, the Bahamut in this game seems to greatly resemble monster designs from the ps2 game "Shadow of the Colossus". Generally, the monsters appear in the form of a chunk of land, like a mountain yokai type of thing, yet at the same time appear to be somewhat mechanical like a robot to some degree. Pretty odd! If it comes to stateside, I might think about it. Honestly, I rather have Sigma Harmonics than this game. After all, I bought the DS for Sigma Harmonics and it never got localized. |

Pardon the lack of a hi-res logo picture, but until monday we won't have one. Anyway, that's Bahamut, Bahamut is clearly a Dragon and always will be a Dragon (well, when talking about the Bahamut original from D&D, not the one from Arabic mythology). This Bahamut seems to be a colossus as well, although he doesn't have any city on his back, there seems to be a tower on his back, or rather this Bahamut is a serpent-like dragon and he is coiled up some sort of big lance. |

Even so I think the gameplay is rather different than what we are used from SE games.
From what I've read, the main focus of the game is still the single player mode. The game is dividided on missions, over 120 missions there seems to be. The player has to beat the mission in the single player mode to open it for multiplayer. So it is not something like FFCC on the GC. The website didn't reveal many details, but it said that the game will be shown almost complete during the Jump Festa in december. Famitsu or V Jump should have more info before then tho. |
