[Anime] Episode 109 Discussion

Just a couple of things, quite a good episode, nice story, great emotion. Sakon's voice wasn't half bad if you aks me. And off course the 1 hour special will be hot. Lots of great action if they manage time well.

Not sure why they would want to do a one hour special after they just got done with a filler arc to let the manga get ahead...

Well i'm sure the episode will be great but they could catch up to the manga pretty fast with an hour episode.

Actually you got a tiny bit spoiled there, that is to say, I didn't notice untill far later on in the manga. It might be just me who has bad eyesight tho..

I don't really think that's a spoiler. I mean, it's a head-shaped ball of flesh with a neck, and hair just like Sakon's. We could see it back in Episode 68.

they will probably throw in loads of filler in the comming eps

or they will just with a new filler arc, annything's possible or they do it like the one hour special when the chuunin exam started, with all the explaining and all to those 3 little kidds because naruto lost the tape and kakashi had to go look for it

I don't know if there is an hour episode next week, but I am shaky on how this episode went. An hour episode would make up for it because I think it should have ended in a different place. They spent way too much time on the last 15 minutes or so in this thing. But the Sound Five cameo shot at the end kind of made up for it. It was cool at the end of the chapter in the manga, but it was twice as hot to put it at the end of the anime. But damn, the 15 minutes Sakura special where she cries and they pan in on her ugly ass feet bothered me. She kept whining and whining and whining and whining and whining and whininig and whining and whining and whining until Sasuke did his Goku style speed boost and knocked her the hell out. Could this be a prime example of when it's a good time to hit a girl?

And in reference to Sakon's voice. I guess so far I am the only one that is relieved that they changed his voice. This fits Sakon, truly.

I didn't manage to understand everything that was going on as I know no Japanese but that Sadness & Sorrow song nearly brought a tear to my eye, like it always does.

Next week on November 24th beginning at 7PM on TV Tokyo, a one hour special of the Naruto anime series containing both Episodes 110 and 111 will be airing, taking up the timeslot for Prince of Tennis (for once it's not the opposite!). The special entitled: Konoha Five + Wan, Invincible Formation Goes In Force! - marks the beginning of a new saga for the anime series, one that is sure to keep you entertained with its inevitably great action scenes.
