it's because a 1 cour should have more profit and less risk of having huge losses if it flops.
since people usually hold out for the full blu-ray collection instead of buying those bull volumes with 3 eps each they'd have to sell double? if they'd do a 2 cour instead of a 1 cour.

so i doubt we'll get more then 12-13 episodes even if they know the fan base is strong.
at least that's how i see it i mean it's safer and has higher chances of generating profit.

Saw this on the ending of Daimidaler. As long as I have my boobies and badass action packed scenes with Issei, I'm all for it. Season.3 bring it on!

Yeah, having a 1-cour anime series is great but I wonder how many volumes will TNK adapt for the 3rd Season of High School DxD? Sure that TNK will be busy on their Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance anime adaptation, but it's not like they'll rush the third arc for 12-13 episodes... unless Kadokawa back them up.

Two volumes, just like both the prior seasons almost assuredly.

I see... If that's the case, the third season will only adapt the last two volumes of the second arc.

Still, I wonder if TNK will adapt the third arc after Season 3 ends? I believe that it's 6 volumes worth of material on the third arc.

The anime has switched several things around timing wise and dialogue wise.

Then you have the english dub which takes the dialogue down trash alley with only lip service (barely any at all really) to the actual translation. If I wanted to listen to that type of BS dialogue and language I'd visit the red light district in gangsta land.

Got to check the first ep Season 2 dub this weekend and got disgusted in less than a minute. Guess this is just one I won't buy and will content myself with subtitled version.

Personally I can't stand dubs as all but season 1 wasn't atrocious and season 2 was a step down imo I probably will watch 1 episode of season 3 and if it's bad then no more DxD dubs for me ever.

Also regarding the 1 or 2 cour season I prefer 1 cour with OVA of the side stories. Reason is that 2 cour will have lowered quality animation after a couple of episodes in to save money.
