Ooooh Bern looks super pretty! But like mentioned, she seemed to have lost two things. Oh well, I kinda like her better this way. ^^;

At least this means her's won't be as ridiculously large as... well... most of the other women's in the series. @_@;

Dunno if all were posted alread (I can only remember the first one)

II-I middle game  ゲームの中盤。この辺で相手に手が読まれると危険。
II-II early queen move  序盤からQを出すこと。P・B・Nに迎撃されて、引き返せざるをえなくなる事が多い。
II-III week square
Not sure if those are confirmed though. Doesn someone here knows more?

*cough* "week square"? I guess that's a typo, I hope that's not what it will appear on the episode itself. That apart "middle game" "early queen move" and "accept" are very fitting titles.

Ah and skewer too, but that's pretty obvious. I guess it will include Rudolf VS Belphegor.

But aren't those titles for the 2nd arc, not the third :P

Ouch. If "accept" means what I think it means, that should mark the end of Episode 2 after just 5 episodes again. This would then indicate they really plan to cram in all 4 question arcs in the first season, which I still believe is the worst decision they could make D=

But that they would do that was kinda for sure from the beginning wasn't it?

Well, I clung to the hope that they would reserve the first season for the first three question arcs only. Let's say, 6 episodes for Ep 1, 7 episodes for Ep2, and 12 for Ep3. There's just so much content to cover, and with a franchise like this, expecting 3 full seasons for 8 arcs wouldn't be too far off. Also, ther's the fact that the anime was announced before Ep 4 was out, which made it an unknown factor to be considered in pre-production.

However, the very fast pacing of these past episodes and the new titles kind of destroyed that hope. I already said earlier that if we got all 4 Eps in one season, it would be split 5-5-7-9 or something like that. Seems I may have been spot on.

There's more than enough episodes to do it. We've been through this before, but Higurashi fit in 6 arcs in 26 episodes. "Accept" could also mean to accept a challenge, not neccesarily
Spoiler for EP 2:

Also, based on how it's been over the past few weeks, they only reveal a certain amount of future episode titles and add one as a week passes. It's highly possible the second arc will have more than 5 episodes, we just don't know how they are titled yet.

About ep4.
Wasn't the portrait in Kinzo's study supposed to be a quite small painting, and on a drawer or a table somewhere? It's been a while when I played ep1, so I don't remember clearly, but I really didn't expect his portrait to be the same size as the one in the hall.

The Kanon Kuwasama commando was terrible like that though... While Kanon is chasing illusionary butterflies with Rena's axe inside the boilerroom, Kuwasama sits outside the door and she just "lets the grass grow under her feet" (is that the correct proverb?) completely, and she doesn't even seemed like she cares about what happens with Kanon just a mere room away from her... I wouldn't be surprised if they gonna theorize now, that it was actually Kuwasama who killed him (well not impossible, but I never thought about it that way).

The funny thing was that door in the back of the boiler room. It's way too large, and even Battler noticed it quickly. I'm still puzzled why no one noticed it in the Ep3 first twilight, not even the staff who uses it occasionally.

Otherwise I think it was an OK episode though. (Except that Maria's expressions looks like someone who suffers from Hinamizawa syndrome L10 or something.)

However, if they do cover all 4 Episodes in one season, then he second onewill have to end after 5 or 6 episodes. Otherwise, there wouldn't be nearly enough space to contain Episodes 3 & 4, both of which seemed to me to have about twice as much content as the previous ones when I read the VN =P

This is only my opinion, but I think there is a LOT that can be cut from 3 & 4, or at least shortened. You suggested 5,5,7,9 as the episode split, but I just can't see 9 whole episodes for Episode 4. 5,7,7,7 or 5,6,7,8 seems a bit more reasonable. It all depends on how much backstory from Episodes 2 through 4 they want to include.
