Synopsis:
Tetsuo Aoki is a 4th year oil painter at a fine arts school. While working in an art supplies store, he meets an older woman named Akira Aizawa, who is the owner of an art gallery. Aizawa becomes interested in Aoki and she begins to pursue him when she catches him painting on the riverside. After such, their relationship begins to develop romantically. Will it develop smoothly? Or will there be unforeseen events?

A excellent noitaminA-level seinen manga. The art style is very detailed, yet a bit rugged; but it's a great change of pace from the clean lines and colors of typical manga or anime. The way the romance develops between Akira and Aoki is just so wonderful, you can't help but compel yourself to keep reading. I'll admit, there is a moment or two where Aoki is a bit too tsundere and not being upfront about it, but most of the time he's pretty straightforward. Akira is the real charmer of the manga though. Cute and playful, but still exudes a level of maturity, she knows just how to push Aoki's buttons to make him weak to her whims.

Wow, this chapter amazed the hell out of me. Call me a loser nerd/otaku whatever, but this chapter was a real turn on. And I don't mean in a fap-fap kind of way either. The lust between Aoki and Akira was just so strong, and the art just escalated those feelings. It's nice to see them make up in this way. I always say[in fiction] that making love tells your partner something that cannot be conveyed in words; feeling of longing for each other; wanting to be one with each other. When he left, this was further expressed at how he proclaimed his dim, colorless world was becoming vibrant and beautiful. Real good stuff there =03.

As the 'adult' tag indicates, there are sexual situations, so if you feel uncomfortable about such a thing, you'd better avoid this =0(. But if mature, adult relationships is something you like, then this SHOULD definitely be an enjoyable read for you =03.

Yeah, he seems to have an issue with being supported. He constantly mentions he'll do stuff 'on his own', so I guess there's some past issue that'll be explored there. I can kind of relate. I hate to be dependent on others unnecessarily myself, though I don't have a serious problem with it like Aoki seems to have =02.

I have been checking this for a while, this manga sky rocketed my already high concept of Yoshida Motoi.

I loved the implication that Aizawa was interested in Aoki from panel 1

I loved this manga however...if you're at least checked the raws to the author's other manga (Mizu to Gin) which is the sequel to this one then you know how this will end.

Let me tell you this...if you are an AokiXAkira fan then quit now...

Aoki ends up with Hanami. Mizu to Gin happens a year from Hanami breaking up with Mori and by then Aoki isn't dating Akira anymore (she isn't even mentioned) and eventually he and Hanami end up dating.

That's great actually...and you'll find just that in this manga as the author is quite good.
I on the other hand will drop the series, I'm not like that at all and can't keep on reading knowing what happens to one of my favorite characters of all time.

amazing seinen romance story. i really hope that was posted above (abt the ending) does not come true. Actually, im curious how that is because Natsu no Zenjitsu is listed as the sequel to Mizu no Iro Gin no Tsuki
