Saw "Dark Knight" for the first time. I must say I am really impressed with the Joker. What an amazing performance. The regular criminals didn't know what to do with him and I found that added to my enjoyment of the villian.

Just watched Clash of the Titans. It was ok, pretty much on par with the majority of Hollywood movies these days.

Collateral (yeah, with Cruise) - it's pretty good actually, I liked it .. Vincent left a lot of corpses in his wake ^^

that Fever club scene was badass too .. and the ending - just unusual (not that the good guy wins, that's obvious .. but that way it's done), although there was foreshadowing

Recently, I saw the Japanese dub of Lethal Weapon. I saw part of the original version when me and my partner took a mini vacation, but it made so much more sense after seeing the whole thing ^_^

I also recently saw this made-for-tv Japanese movie about this mother daghuter (sp?) actress pair who help solve a scooby-doo-for-adults mystery. The mother used to play a child detective on a series that the detective that they help solve the case grew up watching. (dark, not porn). It was really cute, kinda sad, too, on the criminal's side, but I forget the name of it.

I saw quite a few movies recently:

- X-Men: First Class, pretty cool stuff. I loved seeing young Charles and Magneto, and like the other X-Men movies I really enjoy watching the mutants show off their powers

So much better than the Last Stand...

- Thank You For Smoking. Very funny and unique, Aaron Eckhart was good!

- Odoru Daisousasen. It's a Japanese cop movie based on a TV drama from the 90's. I liked this one too, a nice mix of humor, drama, mystery and suspense. The lead, Oda Yuji, was quite likeable.

Next on my list for summer movies is probably Cowboys and Aliens

I loved that movie! I saw it a few years ago and found it brilliant~

The movie I watched recently would be 'Inception.' I used to not stand Decaprio during and after that vomitfest Titanic. Yet since 'The Departed' I find I can enjoy his acting again. I thought 'Inception' was a pretty neat concept.

The Green Lantern. A waste of time and money. I certainly won't be buying it when it comes out on DVD, though my friend enjoyed it.

Keep avoiding it. It isn't worth the time and money.

I also saw Cars 2, and I rather liked it. Not an amazing movie, and I won't be buying it when it comes out on DVD, but it was a fun adventure and Mater grew on me over the course of the film.

"A woman, a gun and a noodleshop"
From the same guy as "Hero" and the "House of the fyling daggers" - but without the kung fu. Full of scenery porn and even funny here and there. Was pretty enoyable. There is very little dialogue and stuff actually happening, but it's somehow fun watching them doing nothing special

To my surprise a friend of mine that isn't into asian stuff at all liked it as well.

Rewatched. Still a hell lot of fun to watch

And! I'm still in love with Hit Girl. It's either the purple or her slasher skills. SO glad they didn't listen to the studios and didn't cut her or make her older.

Now having read the comics I'm kind of happy they decided to do the movie as they did.
They migh have failed at going through with totally deconstructing comic superheroes, but it delivers with what is most important: entertainment.
I like the comics, too, but I think the movie is a good example of how an adaptation can be different and still do jusice to the 'original'.

On a side note: I KNEW they used the original version of "Bad Reputation" by Joan Jett in the movie itself!! Instead of that cover version that is on the OST. License reasons or what?
(Yes, I jumped up during that awesome scene to point that out ... )

'Source Code' - which is now one of my favorite films of 2011.

Duncan Jones has a bright future as a sci-fi director. This and 'Moon' are some pretty strong efforts to come right out the gate with. I'm looking forward to what his supposed 'Blade Runner' "homage" will be.

Le Samourai (1967) and Plein Soleil (1960). They were a fine introduction to Alain Delon and I really liked both (Samourai a bit more). I was surprised at how cool both films were, since they were my first time with French cinema and they're quite old, too.

Diary of Wimpy Kid (2010) & the sequel itself, Rodrick Rules (2011). Needs to calm down by watching comedy movies. And so was Hall Pass (2011).

Oh good, now I can add French movies to my "to watch" list since I'm planning on refreshing my French.

Actually I though that First Class was the most annoying (of all that I've seen).

Anyway, I saw Secretariat last night. Its always good to have a good horse movie to watch

. The scripts and dialogue was sometimes annoying, but overall it was quite decent.

Saw Stardust on FILM4 yesterday, as I recall it was hyped quite alot back when it was released and well I'd def say it was over hyped but a decent film none the less.

If I had to say anything good about it I'd simply say Claire Danes.
I've had this seriously massive man love for her for years now, I think she's one of the prettiest women in the biz.
