Awakening of the Trailblazer was on Blu-Ray three months after it hit theaters, and that had massive legit marketing hype from being the first completely new theatrical Gundam movie in 20 years or whatever going behind it. The Rebuild movies just seem to take a retardedly long time for their release.

I listened to it and thought most of those people were pretentious tools who thought the first movie was eh whatever and absolutely adored 2.0 as a thought-provoking masterpiece.

Also, ANN crew were more fun before they became bitter, old, and jaded (hey, I admit it's something I wrestle with all the time, being a decades-long anime fan myself). Just watched 3.0 in Kanazawa...I really wonder now how Kaworu fits into the whole picture. I don't think he's Adam this time round but who knows...I'm beginning to think more and more that Rebuild is a parallel world. If it's TV continuity, a major reset definitely occured. Kaworu seems to have gone through this many times before

Furthermore, we don't know what exactly brought this about as, at the end of EoE, Shinji was no longer within both Lilith and Eva and thus had no "divine" means to alter the world, Unit 01 was bound for deep space and away from human reach and Lilith was falling apart (not sure what ultimately happened to her soul, though). __________________ << -- Click to enter my (dead) GFX thread.

Yot-chan Minmay Guard Join Date: May 2009	Spoiler for Why the Kotaku Review is Total BS: Their main beef with the movie seems to be that Misato should've explained everything to Shinji right off the bat, which would've prevented the bad things in the movie from happening. Also pointing out that the hostility towards Shinji seems entirely unwarranted. However...it was pointed out to me today by one of my friends, who is acquainted with one of the guys behind the Kotaku review (and dislikes him), that when they first wheel Shinji in, (and I've confirmed this with the movie program), the writing on his foot sez "S. IKARI ??" So basically, the people of Wille don't know WHAT they've retrieved. Is it Shinji? Is it an Angel that looks like Shinji? Is it something entirely new...? So Misato would have to be pretty stupid to divulge ANY information AT ALL to a possible Angel, wouldn't she...? __________________
