Notable here is, both director and character designer worked on Re:Zero and the series composition on Sound! Euphonium and Love Live! series. An unusual combo of otherwise very talented people. I've got something to look forward to in Summer then!

The fact it's an original show was enough to catch my attention, but this got me sold. Will definitely check this out.

Wow, you can definitely tell it's the same team as Re:Zero with those illustrations.

the mecha designs reminded of those 90's Sunrise shows that has those chibi-styled mecha designs which i am not sure is part of a series, also kudos that the mecha are not animated in CG.

I liked what I saw. Good animation, nice art direction, and the mech were actually drawn. The designs a bit...chibi. But it's not distracting. And yeah, feels a bit like an old Sunrise show.

If someone finds this preview subbed, I'd love to see it.

Ouch. Here I was hoping the "all according to keikaku" days were all behind us.

Something like Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru perhaps? Yeah, these mecha are quite reminiscent of those. Ah, the days when you'd have mecha in your isekai more often than not...

Never! To be fair though, sub translations are easier to get now and fairly accurate, but I feel we've lost some of the personality and nice touches fan subbing groups used to do. Even if some of it was so bad it was meme worthy.

I actually think the chibiness adds to the unique magical girl X magic mecha aesthetic it has going on if that makes any sense.

Well, traditional Sunrise mecha with such aesthetics in the past did tend to be set in fantasy worlds with magic, so it's actually par for the course.
