Yeah, unfortunately this episode didn't get as far as I would've hoped (it needed another 5 minutes of story in my opinion), so the next episode is definitely going to be rushed.

^^ agreed but lucky for us the blu-ray will add in 5 extra mins on every episode If I remember correctly. So all the stuff that was cut should be put back in. By the way does anyone know when the blu-ray of DxD will start being released? I think it heard it would be the 27th or around there.

Should be around that time. That's about when most of the first volumes for this season start.

No I pretty sure I saw some men as well. But the ones guarding Gasper and Koneko just happen to be women.

I just see a non dragged out fight unlike all other anime out there.

Too many anime fell prey to DBZ fights where a 5 minute fight (stated five minutes) turns into 10 episodes. I prefer a 5 minute fight taking only 5 minutes. And a lot can happen in a five minute fight.

Even then there's still plenty of fight scenes to cover. One worry is that they don't do the fight justice and just do some rushed scenes. Since it really sounded epic in the novel it would be a shame for it not to be animated properly. And the stuff Issei does and says here is just golden. Had me laughing my head off when I first read the part.

If they cut anything out it'll most likely be added in on the Blu-ray so no worries people.

Yea, but reading is always longer. I mean heck look at the first season fight.

They changed it slightly, but still it was a 10 SECOND freaking armor equip. It lasted longer than that in the anime obviously, but reading it took way longer and could be seen as a long 10 seconds as well.

I just suppose I'm an optimist. or not so much an optimist, but I'm not a pesimist. I will wait to make any judgement until I see it. I don't have high hopes, but I'm not needlessly complaining before there is a justified reason to.

I have high expectations for Issei vs Vali, and I really hope TNK can deliver. Especially considering how much the show has been building up to it. The fact that it's going to be the first time Issei's actually used his Balance Breaker since season 1 is also a pretty big deal. Maybe we'll get a reprise of Trip -Innocent of D?

I wonder what's going to set off the fight. Maybe Vali isn't as happy with the current situation as he seemed during the peace talks?

That's why I wish each season of DxD could be 2 cour. They can at least fit 3 volumes in 24 episodes and still get away with cutting some stuff out but leaving just enough as well. The anime is about 10 volumes behind, excluding the compilation of short stories.

Gotta love how Azezel "breaks it down" for Ise

while other scenes are just a bit rush, the scene when Rias and Ise go to rescue Gasper is kinda long and tedious, they could have made it more concise. I hate it when they made something like this (unnecessarily long scene while others are rushed)
