There is one interesting line from Mio back on chapter 55, where she tells Nozomi it was nice seeing all of the 3 coming together for Kazane, and that she was jealous of their bond / friendship. It make me think that while Mio acts friendly. she may actually be a lone that don't actually make deeps bonds with others. I may be just reading too much into it, though.

Wow, I never thought of Mio that way. No, you have a good point. I mean, Saya of all people (who seemed like a background character in the east vs west arc although she stood out and she had appearances before that) got a major character arc so why not Mio.

We know Mio was an ace at Olympic swimming and as a result, maybe she's felt people being distanced from her because she's placed in such a high pedestal. During the exam arc, we saw all kinds of paparazzi surrounding Mio near her motorcycle.

Actually, now that I think about it, family issues could be a key element in Mio's arc. Maybe her parents travel a lot or her mother lives oversees in the UK or whatever. Or her parents dont exactly approve of her sport and prefer her to continue Olympic swimming.. We've seen families who've been supportive of the girls' decisions so far e.g. Nozomi, Sayaka, Saya, Kazane, Non, etc. We have no idea what it's like for Mio. Mio's a free spirit so perhaps she went through with it even with protests from her family.

Maybe Mio's arc would focus on why she loves Keijo or why she tries getting thrills out of things. Either way, I greatly anticipate Mio's arc if it comes to fruition.

That is possible, although I wouldn't be surprised if the girls also get to S class on their first try like they did with A-class. I could see they getting held back at some point, be it not being able to reach S-class on their first semester as A class, or not being able to overcome the goketsu on their first semester as S class. Although I would bet more on the later case. It could also be both, but then their generation are supposed to be super stars that will change the apparent status quo of the sport at the moment, plus on a meta level, I don't think the mangaka would want to stretch the manga for two extra semesters besides the ones needed to go up the classes.

Interesting way the author came up to keep Nozomi on the race, she was able to avoid being throw on the water by the attack from last chapter, but still had lost because of the over ero rule. The match only continued because Yuzuki told them to ignore that rule as it's just a mock race.

Nozomi notices that a difference between her vacuum butt that needs winding up and Yuzuki's that don't need it, is a characteristic sound that come from Yuzuki chests. And she later understand why, Yuzuki don't just swing her lower body, but also her upper body using the weight of the breasts resulting in her gathering more centrifugal force without the needing to move to wind up.

Just before finishing the battle with her strongest tech, Yuzuki says she is pleased that a rookie is able to match up with her this much, and that they who have been enlivening up the Keijo world can now finally retire without regrets.

Seems like Yuzuki thought she and possibly some of the other members of the goketsu (as she used the plural) weren't able to retire until now as it may have looked like the sport wouldn't have an exciting future without them and with no promising newbies. I think chances are the next chapter(s) will be Nozomi trying to convince her to not do it, at least not before Nozomi's generation reach s-class and beat them.

I'm not really sure, but is this the first chapter we learn Yuzuki's given name, Ikumi?

When I first saw it, I did notice that the shape made by the wind of Yuzuki's ultimate attack was like a piece of shit, but thought it was just coincidence. But seems like it was deliberately made so. As on the name of the attack, Ultimate Novelty COrkscrew, the weird uppercasing in the last word results in UNCO (うんこ = shit) with just the upper case letters. This author really loves his puns.

So when Yuzuki said that Kaminashi has a butt blessed by the gods, is that like herself, Nozomi have lumbar vertebrae that are more fine(?) than the normal person which means she is able to have a winder range of motion and is better suited to techs like the vacuum butt. Yuzuki was looking for someone who could succeed her techniques.

Nice seeing all the non background girls from the elite class back. Yuzuki is doing a butt graduation festival (尻卒祭), a race to celebrate her retirement. But while those tend to be limited to only the S class, she is opening it to A class up, and with a prize of 1 billion yen (Ujibe's one was 100 million, for instance). As Mio pointed out, it's basically a challenge to Nozomi.

This is a development I wasn't expecting at all. Seems like we will have a big race arc next which will probably include tons of characters from various parts of the manga. And may show lots of future "enemies" from the A and S-class, maybe even including all the goketsu. No idea how the girls will perform though, as it was just show they are far away from the goketsu. Most may even not be near the level of a strong A class player, as it was needed Nozomi and Saya fighting together to beat that east a class girls not long ago.

On a side note, considering them all seems to be raring to go, this pretty much confirms all the 11 girls got to A class on their first try.

It was really great seeing all of the girls back together again. Cameos by Kyouko and the Setouchi faculty are a plus.

Some of the gifts they brought for Nozomi crack me up though (e.g. Kotone's literal bag of fujoshi merch, Rin's massage ticket, Atsuko's Buddha statue, Mio's snake cider which ended up waking Nozomi up, etc).

This is of minor note but I noticed that Rin Rokudo now has a tan ::



Probably due to the exposure from the son in whichever area she's playing in. I like it. Suits her pretty well considering she's the athletic type who's bound to get tons of sun exposure than usual.

I'm pumped as hell for this upcoming arc. Seems like Yuzuki is being set up as the first of the Goketsu that the main cast may end up defeating. We're probably going to end up seeing the remaining three Goketsu in this arc.

In addition, for the first time in weeks, Sorayomi's taking a break. Keijo resumes in the 35th issue of Shonen Sunday, which is two weeks from now. Next chapter's probably gonna be another slice of life / exposition focused one with Nozomi catching up on old times with the other girls.

PV for the anime is out. In it I see what seems to be Kyouko's missile butt. Also at the end we see the 12 elite class members together, including the one that only appears at the war. Which means we may go up to the end of the east-west war / end of school arc.

Although Kyouko may just be getting a cameo, and they may want to add that other elite class girl as an actual character now.

Seems like we will have at least a few Sumire focused chapters now. So Sumire and the girls have yet to officially become "sisters", even if they act as such in practice. Sumire just get too nervous to face them and ask to do it.

That S class is the leader of the West Butts Union which have the objective of making west butts great again and face off against the goketsu and their "followers". This seems to be confirmation that all the goketsu are east players.

Some really nice touching moments with Ai and Sumire and Sumire and the two girls. Sumire finally formalizes it by asking the two to become hers "sisters". And now the two are off to a training camp with the rest of the Setouchi girls for the upcoming.

Really looking forward to this next arc, which hopefully won't be short and show us plenty of the girls. Also hoping we get more exposure on Mio's character and possibly the fulfillment of what she said before, that she would take Nozomi to a ride on her bike in the future. She even bought a new one recently.

And no chapter next week as it's a magazine break.

Happy to see we finally got some Ai and Kotone bonding screentime in the manga. The full appearance of the Goketsu grouped together (except for Yuzuki) was rad too. Really curious about the one inside the astronaut suit and the chick with the gas mask. Lady riding a bear to the event looks wicked as hell. I'm surprised the rock-ass East player from Ai's arc is still around...although she probably got expelled from competing for 6 months considering what she did before this arc. Looks like we're going to get some focus/emphasis on the Fujisaki sisters for the next few chapters. I wonder if we'll end up seeing their older S Ranked sis too.

Looking forward to how this arc plays out. I'd like to see some focus on Mio too and whatever rivalry she ends up forming with the East competitors. I wouldn't be surprised if Maya's generation from Suruga shows up here too. I hope that's the case. Really like Maya, Nami and Sanae so there's that.

Newly announced seiyuu plus official anime designs for Hanabi Kawai, Mio Kusakai and Rin Rokudou.

Hanabi's seiyuu has been working since 2008 but she's rather obscure. Mio's seiyuu, the rookie Hibiku Yamamura, debuted only way back in 2010 but her notable roles are Noriko Sonozaki from Kiznaiver and Kirara Amanogawa / Cure Twinkle from Go Princess Precure. Rin Rokudou's seiyuu was the biggest surprise for me...being casted by the recently popular Rie Takahashi, best known for Megumin from Konosuba and Emilia from Re:zero.

After taking 4 months instead of the usual 3 for volume 12, volume 13 will be next month! Probably because of the anime? Maybe there will be a limited version with something additional related to it. In any case I'm happy, it's always nice to see the volumes catching up a bit with the chapters on the magazine, specially when chapter wise he should already have went past volume 15.

Although I hope 2 volumes in 2 months isn't too taxing for him. For a volume release you need to make the cover, do some corrections to chapters, generally make some extra, even if only a few pages, while also doing the weekly chapters.

149's color spread confirms that Usagi is still probably going to have a major role in this arc. Maybe she comes in late or she gets some kind of subplot. Hopefully.

I like Kukuru's older-younger sis like relationship with that recently named Goketsu, Rindou. It was nice to see more sides to her besides that one chick who infiltrated the Fujisaki Ass Labs.

Nozomi teaming up with Atsuko against Kukuru (both being Infighters) makes me wonder if we'll get a Sayaka and Usagi team-up, both being ace outfighters. Although unique combinations like Usagi and Rin would be great too.

It was mentioned in the anime thread but looks like we're only getting 12 episodes. Bummer. Maybe, just maybe the fan event in March 2017 will tease a second season or they have a second season in the works from the start. Like how Date A Live Season 2 was greenlit after the first season ended. Who knows. This season will probably cover up until the end of the Class Exchange Exam Arc; while teasing the East vs West war next.

Volume 14 is now confirmed for December. Nice, with that the volumes version caught up a bit. But still a lot behind. Volume 14 should go up to chapter 137, while the magazine chapters should be at chapter 159 by then.

As expected from Kujaku Naki, one of the Goketsu. She is fucking strong.

However, Miyata Sayaka managed to catch her off guard and splashed her swimsuit with water. The wet swimsuit caused Kujaku Naki's speed to dramatically decreased.

Will the Miyata Sayaka/Rokudo Rin combo be able to defeat a Goketsu????

Have to say, I'll be surprised if one of the Goketsu gets beaten at this point because they're all ridiculously good. Plus they're essentially the final group to beat.

Funny how they always explains things, like the ghosts not actually existing and just mantra Non had on her breasts is just a way for her to break away from the suggestion. Rindou Misaki is pretty cool.

Nozomi showing her "polished" and shiny butt after all the training for everyone in the arena to see...It was nice to see her and Kashiwaba's clash of wills. Misaki is really a big bro! Interesting to note that Nozomi is still feeling bad about Yoshida covering for her and losing. This may be addressed in a later chapter.

Spoiler for 154-156:

Nice seeing the goketsu interact. And the author is doing a good job of making them fun and likeable. Kujaku Naki is a hikikomori and also chuunibyo. At the start of the match, Naki mentions Sayaka reminded her of someone, who apparently also used wedgie skill. Later on the fight we will probably learn more about that. My guess is that they will do a pretty good fight but come short of beating Naki, but we will see.

The explanation is that the water was absorbed by her swimsuit, making it heavier and decreasing her speed. While the effect shouldn't be too big, they want it to be enough that the two can actually fight back. At least while they are at their fastest state. Which should be Sayaka with the wedgie, and Rinrin apparently came up with something too. She was massaging her butt just before getting a big speed up. What exactly she did should be explained next chapter.
