I believe it was already confirmed that there will be no DLC for this game.

Anywho, this may be the first game I'll be importing in a very long time.~

The way I see it... this'll be somewhat like how Jump Stars/Ultimate Stars went, where they need to save some big JUMP series/characters for an eventual sequel...

In terms of some of the missing characters when it comes to those franchises that appear in the game:

One Piece: Felt that of the bigger titles, this is the "worst handled", first with four characters (while other titles limit themselves with three), then by having it be based on the Summit War saga (an arc in which Luffy is the only prominent Strawhat involved in it). Bandai Namco should have really chosen a different arc to represent One Piece (with the representatives being Luffy, Zoro, and the main big bad of said arc).

Jojo: Yeah, pretty much agree that Dio should have been in the game (with him replacing one of the One Piece characters). However, having the first two Jojo's over the more "well-known" Jotaro makes sense, as a lot of people playing this game may only be familiar with the anime (more specifically, the one that aired in 2012-2013). If the game came out later in the year, I think Jonathan would have been easily be replaced by Jotaro.

Wait... Thinking back on that now, didn't 't they say they wouldn't have paid DLC? I'm fairly certain we could still get free DLC content... Like Kinnik-*bricked*

gundam extreme vs released a LOT of new unit dlc, hopefully this game will release a lot of dlc chara too.. and free.
