I can't say it was a good introduction episode.
You know there is a problem with the budget if they can't bother to even animate the first scene in the anime, followed-up by a whole bunch of CG action.

The setting itself is typical, which is fine itself, but the characters are all extremely stupid, in a not-funny way.
Also, they have this "Oh, she sacrificed herself, and we need to retreat" moment, but it hardly feels like a dire situation because of every scene afterwards involving the protagonist didn't feel urgent enough. That, and they actually bother to drive her to where she lived.

Oh hi, DMM Games. No, I'm not playing this.

I am still not sure what demographic this spin-off is aiming at, Danball Senki fans who are now older? also most of the armor designs barely even resembles the LBX they are based on.

episode 1:

first, I'm glad that this seems to be not a harem anime. If the lead character is a girl, higher chance I would follow to the end, and also possibly buy stuffs.

that took me by surprise, so opening a toy box causes you to be isekai'd now.

giving this a generous 5/10 for now.. would still need to see how they develop the characters.

Like you wrote they are not even good Mecha musume. The girls are just wearing generic armor with a vaguely themed backpack.

The visuals definitely didn't help. But honestly even if it looked better I probably would end up passing on this anyways.

Agreed on the armor. Not even good mecha musume. Just girls with...generic armor sets and slightly varied attack styles. That they spent time on each and every average at best transformations to kill time kind of screams how little there is here.

Although I suppose the MC being so unaware of reality that she nearly got herself killed a few times was a bit amusing. I'm kind of surprised they've lost anyone considering how hard it appears to kill these girls.

Think I'll pass on this one. My condolences to the family of those troops that sacrificed themselves. Which seemed utterly pointless since the girls they were protecting had time to kill in saving the main character.

Does everything have to be an isekai nowadays? Pretty boring so far but its rare to see anything vaguely resembling mecha anymore.

episode 2:

ok, so the people of that town / base used to have some armored girls.. then those girls fought for the base until they all died. And those men gathered up the mimesis cores, that are now being used to keep away the Mimesis. Feels like they were just using those girls.. better leave, and find another place to stay.

Each of the four girls had to have an individual transformation scene that lasted at least a minute just to show off their undergarments. Got really boring after girl #2.

Then episode two opens with an onsen visit and steam to block the full-frontal nudity scene.

Watched on Funi on a lark after discovering it in the menus. I don't think I'm going much further with this show.

relaxing "lightbeams" episode.

also their vehicle seems worried it will be replaced with a better one, so it wants the expensive core thrown away. lol

the other girls talking about historical places, and Riko checking out food.

Kyouka can eat so much..

their transformation is done better here than in episode 1. Maybe because this time it's 4 at the same time, and not individually.

that's an immense amount of mimesis. So these things also fight and kill each other?

looking forward to the action next week!

episode 6:

it's episode 6, about time Riko is finally able to hit some things.

they should have climbed up and got the device while grandma was shooting, instead they just stared and only started climb the building when cover fire from grandma is gone.

Gold Mimesis launched a rain of shots, but failed to hit Riko because of plot armor - best kind of armor.

battle at the bridge is like a boss fight, it reminds me of running away from the T-rex in Jurassic park game.

looking forward to next week.
