It means that your shot rolled enough to beat their armor, but the subsequent damage roll still did squat to the tank itself. It's pretty common even at higher levels especially if you got a dinky default gun (grumbles as she remembers her time using the VK 3002 DB).

I would really recommend reading on all forms of scouting (suicide, active, passive) if you're in the nA don't bother with trying to kill T6-8 tanks.
New bragshot time: Faced a 3vs1 shoot out situation panzer IV, T-28, PzIII A vs my M4 and I won. Those guys were noobs though they didn't even bother to surround me or face me with their frontal armour.

So, I don't have to do damage to destroy track? Quote:
Don't worry, I have abandond the thought of trying to kill anything above tier 5 a long time ago.

Yes. Actually it's the other way around. If you actively aiming for the track, you hardly could do any damage. Unless your shell penetrates through the track to inside the tank.
Finally got the 90mm for the M6, and man, how much my life feels better after that. Grinding roughly 25k exp just to see your tank not a useless mass of metal is not something I'd say enjoyable and worth trying.

Oh man, some lines are worse at it than others. I had the distinct displeasure at having to go through the VK 3002 DB just to get to the Panther. The way it's designed is entirely opposite to what the rest of the German line is good at (which is to say, sniping rather than close combat brawling), and while its armor is sloped, all of its guns have cruddy penetration values, which makes it a pain to play since the matchmaker forces you to fight up to Tier VIII battles.

Think I'm starting to get to grips with the T49, its a pretty fun little tank even if it is made of cardboard.
This match was an awesome example of how effective flanking the enemy can be with a squad of lights and TDs (myself included) sped up the right flank and spotted targets for a KV that followed behind to dispatch while they were distracted by us. Once we had made it across the map we circled in around their brigade of heavies moving down the left and hand side and caught them in the narrow valley where they had no place to run too. Like shooting fish in a barrel.

The Hellcat even has thinner armor if my mind serves me right. Around 13mm armor from all sides. I have to be much more careful with that baby when my opponents consist mostly KV-1S which can pretty much one-shot me. Still love it for the gun and its speed.
So if I am not participating in clan war, what's the point of going to tier 10? From what I heard even with premium you can hardly break even the maintenance cost after each match with the tier 10 tanks.

Played Lakeville, in the Hetzer. Ended up behind the building with the tower at the east side of the map, sort of jammed between it and the hillside. Fortunately a large portion of the enemy team tried to jam themselves into that chokepoint such that I was only really seeing one thing at a time. It got kinda lively. |
