She uses a specialized form of the Henge Jutsu to appear younger. That being said, there is probably a slight drain on her chakra 24/7 due to the activation of the Henge. |

Henge is a very strange jutsu. Realistically it should be a genjutsu, but it is not classified as an illusion, but rather a transformation jutsu (you copy the image of something, and then overlay that image on your body...pretty wierd). For instance, Naruto can henge into weapons (presumably everyone can, but Naruto is the only one to be shown doing it), and that weapon works as well as a real weapon. So, there has to be some reality to what the transformation technique does (i.e. it really turns Naruto into a weapon...or a hot girl). Tsunade's Henge is supposed to be even more realistic, but when she runs out of chakra...well I doubt it is a pretty site.

By the time i couldn't be bothered to wait for the anime, i took a peak at what chapter the manga was on and the manga was on a part which was shocking/surprising...so it made me want to read on! i dont watch the episodes cuz they drag and they're not interesting...but with the manga you get those cliffhangers at the end of every chapter that make you want to read on..even though it's not animated, it is very very entertaining. the latter chapters around chapter 340...is when it gets interesting (my opinion)

Sounds goods. Thanks for the reply. I've been a little trepidatious about reading the manga if it meant I would hardly get excited and I would be spoiled whenever the anime did catch up. Now if I do decide to read the manga, I won't potentially have to wait a year for things to get moving.
Again sasuke2007, many thanks for the reply. |

Check out and play around with this short but slightly fruitful thread: [Manga] Yin and Yang chakra (you could even bring this thread back, I am sure many here would like to discuss new theories of this seemingly esoteric branch of elemental ninjutsu). Additionally, Keep in mind that nothing has really been revealed yet, and might not be until a much later date.
