In recent, Me262, Zero and Hayabusa is back to life with new material rather than weather-battered old metal, modern reliable commercial aerocraft engine, High tech navigation system, but still, most of structure and instruments is still original standard. They're museum standard and airworthy, live machine. Machine needs for living display more than stowed stand-stills, I though. Original for musium room is good, but historic machines should be repro and display in moving, what they're made for. |

But in the GuP universe I am sure there is a full industry producing tank panels and spare parts. According to the rules, it is allowed to construct from scratch tanks that never physically existed other than in blue prints, and use them in the competion, if given the permission. So it is extremely likely you CAN purchase a WW2 tank that was entirely new. The thing with the Tiger P, is that in order to be competition-legal, you can't alter its specs. Even though the mechanics can permanently fix the design flaws, they aren't allowed to. This might be why the Panzer IV Ausf. D had to be entirely rebuilt and turned into Panzer IV Ausf. F2. You can't just swap the main gun; it had to fit an existing tank model. (Made sense; this stops people from just turning every vehicle into MBTs.)

Ah, after violating billions, adding one more to the list is almost insignificant...

(sorry) From what I can guess, the majority of GuP tanks are probably reconstructions - which means probably only particular ones are remade. A Tiger (P) was in many ways - especially mechanically - inferior to the Henschel Tiger, so any that exist are very few and far between (That is, to the point of being a "collector's tank" not unlike the Tiger is IRL), especially if it's still of WWII mint. The only thing I could see being worth more than a Tiger (P) is a VK4502.
