This new episode really felt like it dragged lot. I definitely did not like the pacing.
Also didn't Erza think about the fact that if the giants were defending the eternal flame, wouldn't the eternal flame be stolen at this point by whoever the giants were defending against? It would be kind of dumb for them just to freeze the giants and leave the flame.

Interesting revelations this time.
Even Natsu's flames weren't a match to that ice.. Sylph Labyrinth guild guys were pretty confident. If it only were that easy.. That whole place wasn't iced over for no reason. Erza was onto something good. Guess we'll see more next time.

Then it would make sense for Erza to realize that. For her to believe that they are after the flame, yet the flame is still there would be ridiculous. Either she should expect the flame to be gone, or if they have another agenda.

Hmm a bit of a recap, twice with the moon drip bit (I'll exclude the 2nd Sylph part since it was in the manga). Oh well, it wasn't much, so I don't mind...yet. There's stuff to be happy about too, though! For once, Lucy's spirits did not give up after a single shot (see Taurus/Aquarius/Scorpio, her most offensive selections) and Sylph Labyrinth didn't need some kind of gimmick to hold their ground, superior gear gives them an edge (which makes sense, considering most wizards don't use them and Erza was not in this one).
Looking forward to the next episode, as Erza shrinks...the plot thickens! |

Lol, Natsu. Time to join the kids only.
I kinda expected most of the buildup to take place this episode rather than actual fighting. What's with the cat masks though? Those are some of the worst attempts to disguise themselves by the Treasure Hunters lol. Minerva's fight with Erza should be interesting I suppose. Also, I'm really liking that ED theme song now each week :>

The only odd thing, though, was hearing Fairy Tail's older voices coming from their younger bodies. I wonder if the Funimation dub will change that (assuming they get this far), like how they kept Mirajane's deep and menacing demon voice in her Satan Soul form, while the Japanese version kind of just dropped the demon voice and gave it Mira's usual voice. Heck, they've given more child-like voices to characters the Japanese version never did, most notably for Jellal and the rest of Erza's friends (seriously, they're 10-year-olds and they sounded like they were 30). Anyway, I'm glad the anime can still impress me. Now I'm really looking forward to next week.

Erza regressed to a kid.
That looked like fun time ^^ She was totally obsessed with getting back to normal. Natsu & others had their own problems with those treasure hunters. Damn it Happy... The action is getting more intense.

Can't believe Minerva thinks a debuffed wizard is fair game to make up for a loss, it's low to the point of being stupid. Looking forward to next week... |

Totally forgot about Fairy Tail since ep 32... (mainly cause it seems the episodes weren't subbed until way later, 10 eps just appeared today on Bakaupdate... so I didn't notice... lol)
marathon watching it today, just finished the filler arc. Best parts was Loli Aquarius + Wendy fun, and maybe the card battle. Rest was so-so. Asuka omake was cute. Now watching ep 45. |

Fairy Tail is quite good at bringing back former antagonists to help out the main cast. Of course doesn't make Flare's actions disappear, but gives her some context. Also nice that the person herself recognizes what she did and feels badly about it. Certainly Flare is a cute character when she's not being beating on Lucy.
A nice bit of girl power + spirits this week . The treasure hunters really were top notch jerks and certainly deserved getting annihilated there. A nice bit of turning the tables at the last minute. Rough day for Gray and Erza. Gray getting all kinds of mental torture with things that would traumatize him and Erza just getting beaten up by Minerva. That is one character I don't expect we'll ever see redeemed. Certainly a refreshing piece of trash in how she has no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
