Just finished the first three volumes and it's great buut.. damn I'm disliking Claire. What the hell is the appeal of abusive tsundere heroines; Aria, Louise, the lot of them. Characters like Shana and Taiga are great because sure they get flustered and violent every now and then but they don't do it all the freaking time. This is just.. disgusting. Please tell me it gets better? Please.

The abuse disappears after V3 and it becomes all-out war between all heroines over Kamito. Sabotaging other heroines, sneak attacks, etc etc. I don't remember Claire abusing him a single time from V4-6 except

so im new to this series and i just got done reading all the translated parts of volumes 1-3 and i must say this is really good and enjoyable although his harem is full of tsunderes but its the plot i like in this unlike my better half she just likes the harem but i'll be posting in here from time to time just puting in my input

It is just Kamito manage to save himself from immolation by either luck or skill.

For example.

In one scene, Est was found sleeping with Kamito.

Claire: "Gogogogo"

Kamito: (Prepared to die)

Est: (wake up) (smooch) "Offering kisses to a contractor is a spirit's duty"

Claire: "I didn't hear that!"

Kamito: "Offering kisses to a contractor is a spirit's duty" (blow air into Claire's ear)

Steam burst out of Claire's ears, and she ran for dear life.

No, things got worse, now girls team up to ensure their rival don't get a head of time, or all team together.

Example 1 (The Good). Dancing---Rensliet want to dance, Kamito agreed, then Ellis joined in (which earned a heck lot of nobles saying "that must to the legendary lecheous male spirit contractor" from half a dozen nations"), then Finna jumped in....

Example 2 (The bad). Kamito is heavily injured and in bed. Everyone is worried, then Finna suggested they together use a "special healing technique" she learned in the divine ritual institute. So the girls dressed in:

Renselt (playboy bunny suit)
Clare (Kitten)
Ellis (Puppy suit)

And went on a "healing session" (I am beginning to think the 5 elemental lords are evil, I mean, asking 5 girls under 20 to "dance" and perform "rituals" in those outfits? That or the entire institute was a underage geisha house)

Example 3 (the ugly). Ellis got pushed down by Kamito in a fencing session, as Kamito was showing her some assassination techiques knights wouldn't normally use. He was 1) Fireballed from the bushes, 2) has his escape cut off by a giant chunk of ice, then tied up by tree spirits by Finna..
