Gilgamesh always has to act so arrogant. Its obvious he's just lonely. If he would stop being so high strung, he would be a lot more happier and make more friends.

Also is it a characteristic for the Lancer class to always be bros. Both Zero and Fate lancers are so noble and seem like they would make great pals to anyone.

It requires explanation that would probably lead to spoilers, which I would like to avoid doing. The answer should come to you easily when you've finished the Fate/Zero anime.

You could say that this Holy War defied everything she believed in; the past, the present. She was lucky not to know about the future-that-could-have-been, which I couldn't say because, spoilers! xD

Ahh, I can't wait to watch the final episode, I want to see that golden light of utter despair soooo badly, in addition to Kariya's fate... *cackles madly*

Yet again another fantastic episode. I really loved the scene with Saber finishing Caster off, the sad realization

Probably because he's the only one who didn't use a relic (not counting Assassin, because Assassin is Assassin), so the Grail did a compatibility matchup. Everyone else used relics, so they get whoever they chose, regardless of how well they match up.

Lancer has done a honorable act... but is that means he can't curse someone anymore because he broke his spear??? that's huge loss...
Archer is arrogant as usual.... His aerial battle is unbeatable... I think only Berserker and Rider can fight him in the air
hmm... Berserker's true identity still remain hidden (although we can guess it from this episode)

and that Excalibur.... oh damn!!!!
Now I want them to remake Fate Stay Night because Excalibur in Fate Zero really awesome...
just imagine if we can re-watch Fate Stay Night with same visual and soundtrack's quality

next episode will be Lancer Vs Saber conclusion??? or maybe we will get Archer vs Rider first??

anyway, RIP Caster - Ryuunosuke...

Since all heroes can switch between spirit form and materialized form at will, Gil may stay in a loosely materialized state. Hence, the wind blows right through him and gravity barely affects him.

Fun episode. I missed a little bit of the detail from the nove's scene of Caster's death, but since others here seem to have felt like it was done right, I will abide by the consensus. And who knows, maybe they cut something from this that will be on the BD release.

Also, very nice having Iri narrate the line about the undefeated king, which was only a descriptive passage in the novel, not dialogue. I thought they would leave that out, but they worked it in really well.

Honestly, I always just assumed, "lol magic," which is probably what Gil's Vimana operates on, in the first place.

Great excalibur scene. Berserker with vulcan was awesome, too bad it was over right as it began.

It is interesting how many people want to have a "Emiya" remix by Kajiura.
But I for once would be very happy if they finally would play "Konoyo subete no aku" at least once in a Fate anime adaption.

If you mean the flashback from the novel at the end of that section/chapter, they kind of sort of worked it in, since the first part of Gilgamesh's ending narration (when he's looking at Saber) is from that flashback.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm 99.9% certain this is the case. Not the final line or two of the episode, but the couple before that.

Honestly, I'm not certain it really developed him beyond what we already know of him, but I guess everyone's mileage may vary.

I don't remember if Gilgamesh's flashback was in this part of the novel. But IMO it would be very out of place in this episode.

It might be in the BD. They don't make anything for the BD, scenes get cut because of run time.
