This was bound to happen sooner or later. This series has been on my backlog for a while , but I'm still looking to seeing this animated.

Hmmm, lets see what the anime brings. Lately, I've been having a bit of a love/hate relationship with this story.

I'll see how many episodes this gets before I decide to cheer or not.

It's funny I said I'd be pissed if this got an anime because I've read too much of the manga and wished I could experience tjis story in a format I prefer more, but now I'm glad I've read the manga because this'll presumably get one cour (or two if we're lucky) and then join the ranks of the "never finished": forever resigning it to the fate of mediocrity.

This, to me, is among the best medieval fantasy stories out there. I wish I could be happy about this getting an anime but all I can imagine is that it'll just be butchered.

Yeah, unless this gets at least two cour it'll either be very rushed or will only get an arc or two.

Seems like I can think of fewer series over the past couple of years that he hasn't been in than ones he has...

Hmm, while he's never been completely inactive I thought I remember not hearing him as much, certainly not in really prominent roles prior to the last several months. But, perhaps I was just missing the shows he was in.

He's in his popular phase. Happens to a quite a few seiyuu. I remember people complaining about Kana Hanazawa being everywhere too, now she only gets about two roles per season.

The funny thing is that he's in his "popular phase" now when he's already an established and older seiyuu. He used to be just villains or smaller supporting roles (or Seto Kaiba) and now he gets to be main characters .

The industry is more than just the night time seasonal anime we're used to watching. There's also commercials, games, radios/podcasts, and dubbing western films.

Just because we don't see them in our circles of interest doesn't necessarily mean they're any less busy.
