This filler arc has definitely been my favorite arc so far. I like the ending more than the opening.

Why couldn't all of Naruto be like this filler arc. It's so well done, and I actually don't know what's going to happen next, and characters are acting in interesting/good ways.

They should just rename the show and call it Kakashi. I've think we've seen enough of Naruto

Wow, Itachi in the ANBU at 11, and a cold blooded killer. The ANBU job is pretty screwed up. Gai definitely would not fit.

The only thing I wish this filler would do is show more of Gai, Asuma, and Kurenai.

Well, this episode was the best episode I've seen in this show. It pretty much tied up all unresolved plot threads that didn't make complete sense before and did it pretty masterfully. This arc was/is spectacular.

It's certainly better than expected.

i agree that this episode made better sense out of shisui, the kyuubi attack and the uchiha's feeling about the village than the manga. the part where danzo attacks shisui was particularly awesome and much better than kishi's sparse blurb about it in the manga

I really like this arc.
It's like I'm seeing all the pieces I've missed before.
Some things make a lot more sense now.
I still dislike Danzo.
Guess it's because I know the truth behind his lies.
That guy caused so many unnecessary deaths and problems.
Uchiha clan... don't know to feel sorry for them or what?
It feels like Danzo added fuel to that fire.
Now we know how he got that eye, bastard.
Great episode!

that's pushing it for me, but i do agree it's awesome and this filler is awesome. i was very skeptical when the smoke clan and yamato's love interest were introduced (and that part did suck) but luckily for us it was done away with pretty fast and the filler inexplicably became awesome again. it's way better than a lot of the shinobi alliance/5th great war canon material

haha that's true! I'd throw in Shisui and Danzo as well. they're all underused in the canon material and are very serious characters and crappy subplots like the smoke clan don't mix very well

The smoke clan stuff was dull. So was the over-focus on yamato. Didn't need several episodes about him.

But what i find interesting, is that even with the some of the weak plot-lines (like the smoke clan), the fights and the atmosphere have been awesome.

I mean look at this fight between kakashi and that lame smoke guy

Amazing choreography.

ps: Shisui is a bad-ass character.

Shisui was absolutely awesome.
And, its so weird, I'm actually looking forward to the next episode.
I mean, I've seen what the results of the next episode are. I've seen bits and pieces of it. But, it's like we'll get a whole new perspective on the Uchiha massacre and what not, and damn this arc is kinda awesome. I haven't been excited about watching Naruto in a long time.

And the manga, oh god! I'm only hanging on and reading that cause I've invested so much time reading it

I think that was the best episode I've seen in this show hands down. It was even better than the pain arc and Gaara's speech. They finally made so many things make sense. This is making me really like this series again surprisingly enough. I was very impressed with this arc.

I can't wait to see the last part of this arc with Kakashi failing the aspiring genin. That was never really explained so I'm really excited! It feels like we're finally looping back to the beginning again.

Also, we never really saw how he got over the "darkness" so I can't wait to see that.

I'm pretty sure the huge plot twist last episode no one was expecting was that

His double (or is it triple agent) role was not an easy one. After seeing this little of his life, I kinda feel sorry for him. It explains a lot of his behavior later on. Itachi sure cut all ties with his family (except the one he really cared about). Sasuke was the lucky one, but still ended up following his brothers footsteps. In the end, it felt like Sasuke's fate was Itachi's punishment. Somewhere along the way things got seriously twisted. __________________ My Blog --> ookami

I'm pretty sure the huge plot twist last episode no one was expecting was that Spoiler: Hiruzen used Itachi to kill the clan, and pinned the problem on Danzo, and took away his power at the same time, even though he was the one responsible for the death of Itachi's clan, and he was the one to outlaw Itachi and he let him come back because he didn't change the jutsu to allow people back into the village, but this likely let Tobi in when he was spying on what Kakashi was saying at his grave. That was pretty shocking and it was extremely well done. I really liked that!
