The volume ends with Cid and Alexia talking about eternal life and Alexia asks if Cid is interested in that and Cid says he wants eternal life even if the world is destroyed.
Alexia at the end trembles at the thought of what would happen to the world if Shadow gained eternal life.

But the highlight of the volume for me is Cid taking on a new persona after John Smith, Suzuki (John Smith) Hope. Badass character who seduced hot girl in 1 hour.

For the sake of spoilers, one of them is a legendary warrior who plagued Midgard thousands of years ago. He is a great swordsman who was once called the strongest in the world.
He is the one who controls the underworld of Midgard and his fight with Suzuki/Shadow is well praised.
In the end Shadow copies his technique and beats him.

I didn't mention it, but the volume ends with an Alpha vs Zeta promise. Normal SG members vs fanatical SG members.

For a year, probably.
Yen Press isn't the fastest official translation publisher out there.

They already took 15+ months to release Vol.4, compared to Japanese release (the gap between the release of EN Vol.3 to EN Vol.4 was 13+ months).

There is also the fact that the author when hiatus for quite sometime between each volume, so it better to compare the time between the JP release and EN release than between each volume locally

The hiatus was primarily between Vol. 4 & 5.

Vol. 3 & 4 also had a gap, but it was understandable as that was during 2020 (Vol.3 came out in 2019 in Japan, while Vol.4 came out in 2021).

On the other hand, 13+ months gap between Japanese release of Vol.4 and English release of it is too long (not counting 2 months from the 15+, because EN Vol.3 was released 2 months after JP Vol.4) and wasn't affected by anything other than probably Yen Press delaying licensing the said Volume.

There's a lot of interesting stuff in there that ties in with volume 5 (The author has confirmed that he wrote these stories).
Like Zeta's obsession with wanting Cid to rule the world.
The first time Alpha healed a possessed.
And also the encounter with the Mist Dragon mentioned in volume 2.

Spoiler for Spoilers:

following after volume 4 the cult of Diablos managed to minimize shadow gardens win by framing Rose Oriana and her kingdom responsible for the black rose incident making them look like a heretic nation to the other countries who are threatening to invade. Furthermore the crimson order headed by Iris Midgar has been infiltrated by the cult who have filled the spot of the vice commander with a loyal follower and all the new recruits are part of the cult. Making it worse the new vice commander Hubb has successfully convinced Iris that the cult doesn't exist and shadow garden is responsible for all the evil incidents that have been happening. Basically the crimson order is now unknowingly controlled by the cult. Not sure if this was resolved by the end of the volume hoping someone can clarify or add on to these spoilers. Two new seats introduced (though one gets killed by shadow) Fenrir and Petos. Petos is the one with shades on and has a past with Zeta where he killed her entire village to capture her. Not to sure how the volume ends if anyone can add on only one piece of information and that’s zeta fuses the arm of diablos with Claire since she has the soul of diablos inside of her.

Im reminded why I hate Iris Midgar more and more
