A Certain Collection of Events has been updated.

So many different one-shots have taken form in my head lately, but I don't have time to write them all...whereas I had the opposite problem just a few weeks ago. Curse you, karma. It's because I saw Heavy Object animated, isn't it?

As for the idea of a doujin; finding someone who can draw it for you is hard. I'd suggest just pitching your idea out on sites where people who might be interested hang out. I just know that one day, I'm going to go to Japan and force my Dark May Project idea onto every artistically inclined otaku I find.

But until I see a legit Touma/Mugino fan-art; my dream remains incomplete.

The author of that doujin was Chiyou Yoyuchi.

In regards to advertisement, well, I don't particularly know of a specific site that has loads of artistic people hanging out outside of DeviantArt. I could post my Darkness Project there; but I'm not sure it will stay there.

Any suggestions as regarding where else I can post the story to get it some attention?

Is it sad that I'm wondering when me and MrQuestionMark are gonna get our own Tropes page on the TV Tropes site?

I can understand why I don't, as my story's just now getting to the part where everything's gonna get good. I can acknowledge that, but MrQuestionMark at least deserves his own trope page given how far along he's come with his story. Seriously, we're the two top reviewed stories in the Index section of FF.net. You'd think that would have amounted to something by now, given how much dedication we both have put into our respected works.

You do deserve it, I started reading ACWD just for curiosity until I got hooked on it, I keep reading it when I can (waiting for Touma ITEM version in acion, let´s hope not as a goon) and I must say that the way you put Touma and Mugino together makes them look cool (How will be their reaction when he loses his memories? Sadness rage? just thinking about it makes my back shiver)

The thing is, I think ACUL0 kinda deserves it more so since his plot is more fleshed out than mine is at the moment. Getting Touma into ITEM was where the story really starts getting interesting for many reasons.

How will Touma react to the work which ITEM does? What will he do when he realizes ITEM is a group that murders people for no other reason than profit? Who will he save, and who will he fail to save? How he bond with those girls? What kind of relationship will he have with them? What impact will he have on them and others in the darkness before and after I get into cannon territory?

And all that's just the tip of the iceberg. Everything leading up to where I am currently was just a stepping stone. Now that I'm here, the real story can begin and we'll get to see just how Touma takes all this...and how this effects his motivations later on.

That's what I'm shooting for; I wanted that long term goal of 'saving a certain girl' to really mean something when it happens. When you see how much he'll struggle to cope with these things, it'll make the end reward all the sweeter.

But that all takes time, and while I'd like to skip certain parts and jump straight into the next arc, I can't. I can't because it ruins the whole development process of him being in ITEM and makes everything feel rushed and half-assed.

So, as I said before, ACUL0 deserves it more because its plot is more fleshed out; whereas mine is just about to begin.

I say you both deserve it since so far you guys have two of the best Index fanfics out there. You both are also trying your best to update regularly which shows you enjoy what your writing and care about your readers. I understand that getting a page on Tv tropes is a honor for fan fic writers so I hope you get that page but even if you don't I think I speak for most if not all the people on this thread when I say "I love your fic and await how you continue the story".

The praise is flattering and I appreciate it greatly. It does improve moral, that much I won't deny, and I'm glad everyone enjoys it. All I'm saying is that between the two MrQuestionMark should get first dibs since he started a ways before I did.

I'm not undermining my story or anything, nor am I gonna say 'mines better roar!' since I genuinely enjoy his work too. What I'm saying is that, if I was a Troper and I had to choose between the two in an unbiased fashion then I'd pick ACUL0 first before ACWOD for reasons which have already been expressed. I'm not sure MrQuestionMark cares much about it, but it bothers me to a certain degree.

If it happens it happens, sooner or later someone's gonna eventually do it on their own volition. All I ask is that, if it does, it goes in a 'first come first served' manner. So long as that happens and I eventually get mine, then I'll be content.

• Also, are there any that are based on either a false spoiler, or an unused or discarded premise?
• Out of the known Level 5s, which ones do people reckon would best fit which role out of the following, if at all; Gasman, Carpenter, Glazier, Painter? (there was also Electrician but I'm more certain of what the answer would be for that one)

some people tried to use kakine but to be honest, he is somehow a difficlut char, all we know is that he acts somehow like a normal person but has no mercy, and that he hates accel -_- kinda hard to make a proper story with him...
beetle is easier, but he is OP which is not really liked in a FF o_O

than we have GRS, vento,fiamma etc. we have 1-2 volumes, in acquas case 3 which intensively had him as involved char...
the others arent often used, mostlikely because vento is a meh!-char, terra is a duche, and fiamma is OP + we have no idea how his "nerfed-mode" looks like...

in short: chars which dont have much screen time in the LN arent often seen as a center for FF-storys.... even the super-likeable char thor isnt often there (maybe because of alimgthy mode )


like the touma in NT9 beta world? or do you mean something else with "imposter" (OC with IB ), well, for my own question: i dont think that i have seen any FF with such a touma

as far as i know, such story will be stopped after discovering that the spoilers are fake or only parts of the whole story

Gasman = Mugino, imagine that she cant use her abilitys because it would instantly cause a explosion and with her short temper it would be funny

Carpenter = accel, i dont know much about the job but it would be interesting to see him trying to proof that he can lift a big (100% wood) table, and he even agreed to not use his powers

Glazier = gunha, as far as i know the job cant be done while shouting and jumping around... and super-strength + guts arent needed...
the work for the #7 would be such a great punishment

Painter = misaki, a funny scene, misaki siiting on a chair and eating ice-cream while she controlls four men to make her work, and the senior discovers it

Wondering if this is how I should have most of their 'meetings' go in the future...if so GOD I need to have a Delta Force vs. ITEM moment.

Spoiler for First ITEM Meeting:

“So you admit to ignoring my calls?”

“Yes, ma’am.”

Following the events that took place at the dorms, Kamijou and miss Seivelun eventually found themselves back in a certain restaurant which ITEM frequently visited. Unlike the day before, he was forced to sit in a chair at the far end of the table; making him the center of attention between all four girl’s present at the booth. Or, at least, that would have been the case under normal standards but In this case, most of the girls were doing their own thing to really pay him much mind.

Even Shizuri was only giving him half of her attention, sparing him only a few glances from the corner of her eye as fiddled with her phone.

Annoying and insulting!

“Despite my generosity in allowing you to join ITEM, you decided to fucking spit in my face and ignore me?”

“Couldn’t help it, I was busy with something important; it happens.”

One would think that Mugino’s features would have been expressing more negative emotions given how their usual interactions go. Oddly enough, she wasn’t, Shizuri didn’t appear to have even the beginnings of a scowl on her lips as she peered over at him from her place in the booth by the window. Had it been any other time, Touma would have most definitely been concerned by this lack of vexation. For now he would take it for what it was worth, as these as these moments of calm were scarce enough to begin with.

“…point taken, but I doubt that whatever it was you were doing was sooo important that you could casually brush off the person who gave you a job just yesterday.”
“I have my own set of priorities you know.”

Yes, he did, and those priorities likely fell short in comparison to Shizuri’s. He might not have known Mugino for very long, but when it came to comparisons, her wants and needs always seemed to come before everyone else’s. Shallow and selfish, things had to work her way or not at all; that was how the girl’s mindset seemed to work. So in that respect, nothing he said would matter all that much to her and as such his point would be invalidated.

Touma couldn’t have been more right on the money if he tried.

“I’ll make this clear then, unless I say otherwise you’re priorities mean shit. Next time or any time I call you, answer your phone or I will make a new hole for you to shit out of. Are we clear on that Kamijou?”

He had to refrain from rolling his eyes; opting instead to just sigh and nod his head.

“Crystal.”

“Good, moving on.” Here, Shizuri’s whole head turned to face him directly, her face static save for the raised eyebrow. “What happened to your face?”

The said male’s face was currently occupied by what looked to be the beginnings of a few bruises scattered across his cheeks and jaw. They were still red and had started swell up a bit; but otherwise it was nothing too bad since he was on pain medication and all. Even if he didn’t particularly feel them, the reason why he had them was still annoying regardless if there was pain or not. Hence why his gaze shot over towards the blond accusingly, to which Frenda merely snorted in a less than graceful manner before continuing her assault on the can of mackerel in front of her.

But pretty soon after it wasn’t just Touma’s gaze lingering on her, but Mugino’s as well; eventually leading Frenda to offer up an explanation.

“Basically, I needed to teach the underling not to disrespect his superiors.”

“Lair, she’s lying, she’s lying to save face!” The way he was shouting this like a lunatic might have been a little excessive; just a little. “This happened all because she misinterpreted what I said; so don’t listen to her!”

To clarify, when Touma made the statement about her being ‘small’ he was referring to her stature. Frenda, however, took the term differently than the one he was talking about and instead believing him to be making a reference to her lacking chest area. Factoring in his previous assumption of her age plus having seen her slim frame nearly naked on a recent occasion and it was obvious that the blonde would be infuriated by the jab. Of course none of that was on his mind and he wasn’t trying to insult her to that degree.

He had only found out about the misunderstanding as she was punching him, thus explaining why he was annoyed and why he was so zealous in defending himself before she could slander him further. To top it all off, Frenda had yet to or even make an attempt to apologize for her actions caused from this simple misunderstanding. It only told him someone was a little self-conscious…but given how stacked her Ojou-san idol is he couldn’t blame her.

Hey, he’s a guy, and even if he doesn’t like someone he can at least admit to things he does like.

“You basically thought I was just some middle-school brat!”

“Because you’re so sma-short, short, I said short! And because of how short you are, anyone could’ve made that same mistake!”

From her position at the booth, Saiai could be seen nodding as if to say ‘Ah, okay, I get it now.’ as she flipped to the next page to her magazine. Whether or not she was doing so for the article she was reading or the conversation at hand was anyone’s guess.

To be fair though, Frenda did stand around the same height as Kinuhata did; who was in fact the youngest member of ITEM at the moment. So, in that respect, Kamijou did possess some credibility to his statement, making it less like a baseless assumption that Frenda thought it was. Factoring in how the blonde acted on a normal basis and it wasn’t too much of a stretch to say that she did seem less mature than she actually was. Despite these things though, nobody present at the booth spoke up in Kamijou’s defense, yet all the same nobody was in a hurry to defend Frenda either.

Wonderful... Just wonderful, question will we see Dragon King helping Touma? And I don´t know why but I see a Tsundere Frenda, Kuudere Saia and Yandere/dere Mugino, I see takitsubou as the good sister or the weird cousin.

To top it all off, Frenda had yet to or even make an attempt to apologize for her actions caused from this simple misunderstanding. It only told him someone was a little self-conscious…but given how stacked her Ojou-san idol is he couldn’t blame her.

From her position at the booth, Saiai could be seen nodding as if to say ‘Ah, okay, I get it now.’ as she flipped to the next page to her magazine. Whether or not she was doing so for the article she was reading or the conversation at hand was anyone’s guess.

To be fair though, Frenda did stand around the same height as Kinuhata did; who was in fact the youngest member of ITEM at the moment. So, in that respect, Kamijou did possess some credibility to his statement, making it less like a baseless assumption that Frenda thought it was. Factoring in how the blonde acted on a normal basis and it wasn’t too much of a stretch to say that she did seem less mature than she actually was. Despite these things though, nobody present at the booth spoke up in Kamijou’s defense, yet all the same nobody was in a hurry to defend Frenda either.
