Blood Lad

a monthly manga written by Kodama Yuuki
its licensed by yen press with 2 volumes released in the US each covering about ten chapters

there are atleast 40 chapters in the raw(I don't know the exact number), with 26 scanlated

the summary is this:
Quote:
Staz is the vampire boss of a section of the demon world, but he has little interest in human blood. He's more infatuated with Japanese culture. When he learns that Yanagi Fuyumi, a Japanese teenage girl, accidentally wanders into the demon city, he jumps to the occasion. However, while Staz deals with an intruder on his turf, the oblivious Fuyumi is killed by a monster and becomes a wondering ghost. The disappointed Staz vows to her that he will find a way to bring Fuyumi back to life

its actually quite good, and references dbz and final fantasy at certain points but doesn't parody them

honestly i'm surprised there wasn't a thread for this already

I like the comedy and the resemblance to Blue Exorcist w/ a little BlackStar feeling.

Its getting an anime and I'm dumbfound that a manga thread wasn't made for this a long time ago.

I'm going to have to re-read some chapters now that it has been picked because the translation team dropped this over a year ago and I have no clue what was going on

The manga is starting to become interesting. In the current chapter, some old guy is beating the crap out of the enemy without a sweat.

Yeah, they are. The group that's doing this is slow-going because they have other projects like Tokyo Ghoul. As for the volume number, there are 10. You can check on Batoto to make sure.

Does anyone know how many chapters (raw) there are currently?

And it looks like this series isn't popular at all, huh. Glad there's a group taking the time to translate it :3
