Well, that was something... A story like this of losing someone certainly isn't new but P.A. Works has a tendency to make it special, magically. Also doing God's work of healing people/souls. I enjoyed this week's episode.

Sorry, Maeda, after you spend 2 episodes making fun of mahjong and ramen, inserting a "Mom message" thing isn't really going to cut it.
Maybe you should have built up a bit using those 2 episodes, like maybe give the dad screen time.

I think this episode is very relatable to me and I'm starting to get attached to Izanami: she's such a beauty and I liked her character very much. Contrary to her mean-spirited appearance, she's quite sweet and it's thanks to Yota's work that she'll be able to reconcile with her father and hearing her mother's messages changed her attitude. After the premiere, not much actually happened besides Yota fullfilling all of his quests given by Hina who wants him to be a productive person and is probably the only one who can truly change the fate of the world from impending apocalypse, but it'll be nice if Yota can do things on his own will for once.

Great chapter but it seems childhood friend loses again, now that odin is starting to have feelings is sure that she will "win".

I think is time to the serious and go deep in the end of the world plot now, only 11 days left.

A weird point to get hung up on I know, but it's kind of weird for a kid Yuto's age to have a Jordan jersey on his wall, when he wouldn't have even been alive when Jordan played. Kobe or Lebron would at least make more sense.

You can always be fan of the classics, I'm fan of a lot of older football players before I was born that I think they are millons better than the currents one, watching old games and videos, and would love to had a shirt of them instead one of ronaldo or messi.

While it's certainly possible that could be the case with Yuto, I'd bet money that the real reason is because this a show written by guys in their 40's. It probably also doesn't hurt that he's got a shoe deal with Nike, that keeps his name in the public eye, and I'm going to go out on a ledge and say that I think that has a lot to do with why he's still so popular.

It would just be nice if shows would update their icons for a new generation. Hell a shot out to Rui Hachimura would be nice. Unless, I missed that to.

I didn't expect this to be the one series I'm looking forward to every week, it's not remarkable at all but eh I'll take it.

Haven't started this series yet but I'm keeping an eye on it. I have gotten quite averse to tragedies lately. I really enjoyed Clannad, Air, and Kanon from KEY so is this supposed to have the type of soul crushing moments like those other ones?

We don't know. So far it's been 90% comedy. However, given the writer and his past record, he'll remember there's a plot about two thirds in and we'll suddenly get heavy (and rushed) drama.

I'm similar in this regard, part of the reason I'm waiting. That and I'm a shipper and I hate watching stories where the ship sinks, especially if I go in not expecting it. I wasn't really that impressed in this one, since it was made clear over and over that he doesn't really know that much about her, but there still seemed to be a bond there and I'd rather watch knowing exactly how things will go from start to finish there than watch not knowing which way things will fall.
