Actually, extreme flame put on totally insulated armor only piss off the operator. In this case,m the magical barrier act as insulator.

And no flame is hot enough to eat their shield.

Yes, they were made to go out into space where you don't have an atmosphere to protet you from extreme heat and cold.

I never said that, the best thing against an IS is another IS.

No matter how insulative, there is a limit to extreme heat. IS should be able to stand at least 1000K to survive re-entry on their own. However if you put them in an environment such as the sun or a star... well I'd just like to see them survive 2000-3000K of heat...

Unless you have a weapon that can match the surface of the Sun, forget trying to use heat.

At most, you'll make the pilot sweat and piss them off.

just to say, 800K is already able to turn air to plasma I think... though pressure and other factors have to be at the correct condition as well.

Logically they should have different kind of barrier for different purposes. Why else they're not torn apart by air pressure when flying at supersonic? Why they can breath? I expect they also have reentry/hazard shield that specifically protect, or at least reduce plasma damage by much (else Ichika won't survive Gospel attack in the slightest).

They won't survive star temperature or absolute zero, sure, but reentry heat and cold space would be easier to solve.
