I started reading the LN after watching the anime, in volume 1 there is the part where Kaede first sees Mai and doesn't recognize her despite her being a celebrity. Sakuta explains that she doesn't watch much tv and Mai, while not 100% convinced, accepts it. It seems an unimportant detail, but knowing what will happen later, I was amazed at the foreshadowing.

Kadokawa majority owns Yen Press.

I'd imagine they would have priority to any series and JNC/Seven Seas would only get the ones they're not interested in publishing themselves.

It would be nice if they did some titles as digital-only in a method similar to what JNC does (Releasing sections of vol. every so frequently), especially this series.

Haha that everyone has seen the words "Shoko started with Sakuta" just that, I think we are all disappointed.
You know, Sakuta has no other choice. He was all tortured in a world without Mai. And he was craving for Mai. I think you understand the reason Shoko is back in time. If he is happy in that world Shoko would not be necessary, go back in time. That means Sakuta tortures and is worthless in a world where he does not have Mai.
And Shoko was too slow to give him hope, so she went back four days after Mai died.
Shoko said "Sakuta never belonged to her. Because Sakuta always belongs to Mai. ”And she said, "Going back to him in the past and making Mai the happiest woman in the world" and Sakuta chose Mai's life. I think a lot of things are said to be clear. Sakuta loves Mai alone and will love it forever.

Do you really think this is called she ended up with him, which is not?

The result is that even though she will have the opportunity to get married. But in the end, she was unable to take Sakuta's heart from Mai. And she couldn't stand at Mai. And Shoko's words show the complete defeat of the big shells. (Do you think the wedding ceremony will be worth more for Shoko when he doesn't have a heart for her?)
So the wedding ceremony was worthless and meaningless for Sakuta when he didn't get Mai's hopes.

I've just started watching the anime series. For the novel readers, does the series just blast through the source material? I get the feeling that the pacing and the transition between scenes is always very fast, so I'm guessing there's a lot of fluff getting cut. I'm just wondering if it's worth going and reading the source material

The anime adapts 5 volumes in 13 episodes, so it us indeed fast paced. I still found it really enjoyable, but I also recommend checking the novels,you won't be disappointed.
