Final line of my Hataraku series review, June 28, 2013:

"I’m looking forward to spending more time with Maou and the rest of the cast, and I don’t think we’ll have to wait very long to do so."

Better late than never I guess. Gave up hope long ago so when the PV played for the final announcement at today's session of the LN Expo stream I was almost losing it.

A lot of anime fans online are losing their minds over this.

Meanwhile, I never even finished the first season. Probably should get to that.

Seriously?! After all this time, we're actually getting a second season?! Yay!! So glad about this news, always wanted to see at least one more season. I think the series concluded last year and even the English translation is something like 3 volumes from the end (not that an anime would get anywhere close to that anyway). Looking forward to more details, wow, its actually happening.

It’s going to take 2 cours to reach the end of Ente Isla arc.

I’m surprised production already started some time ago.

The first season was highly successful financially (sold a ton of discs back when that was the most important measure). But you do have to worry that they've simply waited too long and the commercial bloom will be off the rose.

I haven’t read the novels, but isn’t the only reason people are angry is because "wrong girl" won? If so, it’s a huge plus, because hardcore shippers’ tears are very tasty.

As far as I heard, it was the main reason, not the plot itself getting bad.

I remember how much I wanted 2 season of this... But after LN ending that's easy skip now. Just can't force myself to watch or read something if I know it will have bad end.

Also, it's not just "wrong girl won". After reading summary of last volume, I can describe it only as dumbster fire.

Wow. After all these years.

I watched the first season around the time it aired. Still one of my favourites.

Writing is fine even wrong girl winning wasn't by any means asspul. Still in retrospective it feels like almost 30 volumes of nasty bait and switch and I don't think this particular series is good choice to be condescending (not saying it's necessarily wrong to laugh on hardcore shippers in general mind you).

Sometimes miracles really do happen .

Although it's kind of funny because they have so much left to cover of this story. I'm kind of wondering how far they'll go here...

Woah, I am kinda floored about this. I've been hoping for so long to see a sequel to this. Feels a bit unreal. One down in my list of "series I want sequels to, with the rest being close to impossible to very unlikely, i.e. Macross Frontier, Re:Creators, Tokyo Ravens and Knights & Magic. Okay, the last one probably can get another season somewhere.

It's fair to say no one saw this one coming. Maybe No Game No Life will get a second season someday too.

Really enjoyed the anime, dunno what to think of how the author ended the series, same kind of disappointment that Papakiki gave.

Truly amazed we're getting another season after all this time. Guess dreams can come true.

Yeah, I'd love to see another season of Re:Creators and Tokyo Ravens. Maybe add Rental Magica to the mix.
