They've skipped over stuff before. I can see them skipping over a lot of the Sanc Kingdom stuff and get right to the battle at Sanc Kingdom with Epyon's debut while in space Tallgeese Flugel's final battle and Wufei's colony being destroyed.

^i'm speculated of tallgeese final battle and Wing Zero EW debut will go like this, flugel retrieve proto zero remains, then peacemillion got assaulted by OZ(because they were trying to destroy the remains of proto zero) while howard was in middle of constructing WZEW with the modified flugel wings and zechs had no choice but to sortie with normal tallgeese and zechs got outmatched by the MD army then he got no choice but self destructing tallgeese. Meanwhile howard finally complete the wing zero and then launched it to zechs after zechs self-destructed tallgeese and Wing Zero EW debuted then destroyed the MD army
It could be a brilliant debut to wing zero ew

No way they'll skip Luxembourg, Heero needs to use the Wing for the last time with that unknown shield addon.

Besides, all those FT new Special Aces have to appear defending his Excellency. Some have appeared in GOL already during the OZ takeover operation

luxembourg battle will never be skipped, it's one of important events where heero using wing gundam for the final time then switch to epyon after meeting treize. if they were focusing on introducing Wing Zero EW then luxembourg battle and Epyon debut will most likely happened in early next year.

so we can assume Wing Zero EW will be constructed by howard from proto zero remains+wing gundam ew blueprints(zechs have it right?)+flugel wings then

By not getting hit by it directly, I imagine. Also, Gundanium Alloy is really tough.

Don't forget that DHC also has Anti-Beam coating on its Wings. And while its not quite as strong as TBR, it did survive a fully charged Vayate Buster Rifle shot in the TV Series.

to me it looked like Zero shot the asteroid base the Death Scythe was hiding in, not actually hitting Duo at all, just him flying out of the explosion.

still hard to me to understand how deathscythe hell can overpowered proto zero. D-Hell couldn't even scratch Wing Zero back in tv series. Maybe this is the meaning of "Proto Zero has the same design as Wing Zero TV but it's not the same" during Proto Zero's introduction last year

In the show, Wufei in Altron was able to fight off Wing Zero, because Zechs got psyched out by the Zero System. So it can happen to a less skilled pilot.

The answer could be simpler then one suit being stronger then another. Heero (or was it one of the doctors..?) said it in the series, it's not the suit, it's the pilot in the suit that's the weapon. We know that the boys were all trained to be superior pilots. They can hold their own against OZ aces and even deal some heavy blows even with crappy Leos.

As far as I know Deacon was the only one who did translations of GoL, so look at Zeonic's site. Funnily enough Deacon released them backwards, starting with chapter 44 so that one is the most recent(ly translated).
