MODELOCK ARX-7 model review:
http://srblood.blog89.fc2.com/blog-entry-501.html I don't know why they bothered. Really terrible product, unappealing to model or toy fans. |

It has the undeniable advantages of only costing eightbux and being available now, which makes up for a lot of problems in my book.
To be fair, a lot of the problems in the Modelock kit can probably be worked around - either sand/fill the seams or fabricate extra pieces to hide the ball joints. I can't say for sure till mine come in to examine close up. The Revoltech ARX-8 is a nice figure by any standard, and I hope they make a ARX-7 and/or Codarl to go with it at some point. |

Okay! Got my Modelock ARX-7 and M9 today. Will post pix and opinions later this week.
The 1/60 ARX-7 looks like a May release. The Modelock Falke was just released too, it appears. Last edited by illuminatus8; 2008-12-28 at 23:51. Reason: 1/60 release date |

They keep pushing back the release date for the 1/60 Arbalest. Does Alter even know what the heck they're doing?
The Kotobukiya Modelock Arm Slaves are a waste of plastic. Uncolored, exposed joints, ball joints, no polycaps, one-sided moding, etc. Why can't Bandai produce Arm Slaves instead? |

Because Bandai doesn't own the rights to FMP! properties and is making money hand over fist with Gundams.
Good news - these kits are in scale with the Revoltech ARX-8. Bad news - pretty much everything else. As described above, the kits are unpainted, molded in a single color (light gray for ARX-7, light gray tan for M9). Click on thumbnails for larger pix. ARX-7 M9: They're not great. At eightbux they're moderately overpriced but not outrageously so. I will probably build, paint, and put on the shelf with the ARX-8 to keep it company. Bigger image:
http://ga.sbcr.jp/mreport/012615/12.html I can forget the Alter version now, after waiting all these years... Robot Damashii will likely be bigger than revoltech and close to the Alter ARX-7. It is also possible to see North America release since Bandai has been pushing them. Edit: Found a full pic of the Savage: Come to think of it, it is really good news for FMP - as far as I can tell this is the first Robot Damashii product that don't came from Bandai's own Sunrise (e.g. Geass) or Bandai supported show (e.g. Macross F) Normally they only license "outsider" for big hitter like Eva.
