Then again, BLM protests lasted months on end with vandalism across the US. This capitol riot only lasted 1 day. Don't get me wrong, I condone any type of violence (whether it be person or property) and it doesn't matter what side your on. I just find it a little funny how some even comparing the two, and in terms of damage caused, I think BLM protests beat this 1 day riot by millions.

Hypocrisy is on both ends of the spectrum.

A rather substantial difference would at least be that the BLM was about something that actually existed. Racism in the country. Rather than delusions about lies orchestrated by a pitifully desperate man.

Does it excuse every action taken during the BLM movement? Of course not. But at least their grievances ace about things that actually exist in reality and continue to exist.

If you want to look at the difference, you could focus on the scale of both events; the BLM protest went on in multiples city for months while the Trumpian one (for lack of proper name for that event) happened once at one place.

Did the BLM protest made more damage, most likely. But if you were to make ratio about the damage and violence made by the protestors / scale of the events, the BLM preotest would still far more tame than what happened this week.

Instead of peaceful protesters being doused in tear gas, we saw a mob posing for selfies with police and being allowed to wander the corridors of power like they couldn’t decide whether they were invading the Capitol or touring it. US Democrats plan to introduce an article of impeachment against President Donald Trump for his role in Wednesday's invasion of the US Capitol.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she would move forward with impeachment if Mr Trump did not resign immediately.

The charge of "incitement of insurrection" is set to be introduced by House Democrats on Monday.

My guess is that Biden will be a one term president (due to age mostly). Meaning both parties will be able to run someone "new" in 2024.

A lot of people think Trump won’t run again because he’s too afraid of losing again. This latest stunt likely lost him most of whatever moderate voters he had left as well. He’s really just hyping up his image to make himself more popular with whatever he is planning next. He was always working off his image rather than skills.

Amazing how all this happens and yet Trump supporters immediately say that it was antifa and BLM infiltrating these “patriots” that are the real perps... that these “patriots” would NEVER act like the radical left...

Well yeah, wasn't that the whole point of their objections to counting the electoral votes in Congress? To increase their visibility and standing with Trump's base in hope that they can tap this base in 2024 for both the Republican primaries and the election itself.
