And Shinbo may want to adapt all the books, but in this market you have to maximize sales by prolonging the interval of times between one series and the other, so by the time he got to the last book who knows how many years will have passed

...no, they're basically two different ways of saying the same thing in that context.

In the end, it's not like he's going to say no anyway -- it's a magazine interview to promote the current show, so it's not like he's going to say "no, I'm done with this franchise and don't ever want to do more".

Given that the first show was amazingly successful, and hopes are high for this sequel, I think he'd probably like to make as many as they'll let him make.

As long as nisemono + kizumonogatari gives him satisfying outcome, no reason to not continue.

Especially since Nise is already the most questionable part of the series, they are pretty much in the clear in terms of censorship. If they can animate Nise then they can animate everything else.

As far as I can tell money is the only thing standing in the way of a project being continued. With that in mind I highly doubt this series would have any trouble in that department.

It would be awesome if we get a 52 episode 4 cour season for the whole second light novel season.

From what I know, Shinbo's opinion has always been identical to Iwakami's opinion in terms of producing. Thus, very likely that it is also Iwakami's hope to animate entire monogatari series.

It all depends on Money.

So basically, as long as the Monogatari series keep selling well, we'll see them animated. I don't think we have anything to worry about unless otakus suddenly inexplicably become disinterested in it.

and look at what happen to the Shana Franchise, they took 4yrs off and now it form 10k per vol to 4k per vol. As long as the sales are good and the material is there. Shinbo can produce as many monogatari series as he likes.
