Not even the Mom is sure if it will end at just two timing. So the parents were mostly a plot driver to give Naoya some sort of goals he has to achieve to prove he can take care of two girls at the same time. Because that's what I also worried about, the whole 50 years later thingie. I mean we are talking about a teen who as a child spend ten years of his life confessing to the same girl over and over again until she was ready to date him aka gave up.

I thought about how could this wrap up. Loner end or dating just one girl would feel like betraying your premise. But on the other hand it could also be viewed as growing up. Although I doubt Hiroyuki wants to convey a message like this instead of some zany thing. I definitely think four-timing won't happen. If three-timing happens, then it's going to be Shino. |

Shino's feelings is still in the air, and her actions can affect Saki too. So she has more chances to cause a change in my opinion. |

I'm rooting for the harem ending since Mirika appeared, but the more Naoya keeps swearing he'll limit himself to two timing, the more it will feel lame if he changes his mind at the end. The only way I can see to make it work is if at the end of the trial period all the girls agree that they are the happiest when they are together. Considering Saki is still crazy jealous and Mirika isn't even at the friend level, it won't be easy. A three timing ending without Mirika....well, I can see that happening, but that would left me quite disappointed.
The mom said she would be happy with two cute daughters but didn't push Naoya for four. This might be a hint, who knows.

Aho Girl ended with status quo. Akkun knew all along that Fuuki Iinchou loved him, but he still only cares about studying in the next 10+ years.
I don't remember Mangaka-san's ending very well, but I think that also ended with status quo. I didn't read Doujin Work. The status quo in this work would be the two-timing, so the chances are high based on previous manga endings by Hiroyuki. |

And I think Mirika is on the right as well saying that if Shino cannot confess then our dense boy will never notice on his own considering how busy he already is making his two girlfriends equally happy while trying to reject the 3rd girl and not get charmed by her. If Shino just sits and waits this out on the sideline, then she won't even be in the competition. This chapter was a wake-up call to her and a big splash of oil into her heart's fire. I bet she will confess in this arc and truly enter Naoya's mind as well. And ofc crush Saki's spirit who now has to worry about her best friend wanting to date her boyfriend as well. xD

Manga logic dictates that not confessing is by no means a handicap. Or rather, someone who already confessed is not going to be superior by default compared to someone who didn't. They just love to get under the skin of those who didn't and tease them.
All Mirika's efforts and criminal acts till this chapter only resulted in Naoya giving her a deadline. I see no results, which inidicates a smugfest over Shino. Just being a victim of the lucky pervert routine, Shino almost won the bra heart racing contest, which Naoya prevented with punching himself. Single details like these matter. She only produces results when she is not desperate. Although I do agree that sitting out the action in a romcom is not my cup of tea, when it comes to presentation. But in this case it's not like she is sidelined just because of her inner struggle. |

While I do agree that so far Shino's seduction seems to be more effective than Mirika's (though I'm not sure how much of it is due to her being more Naoya's type or him being less guarded around her), it's also true that Naoya currently doesn't want a third girlfriend and thare are almost no chances he confesses to Shino on his own if she doesn't take the initiative. There is also the fact that Naoya is so firm in rejecting Mirika, giving her a dealine, because he feels he might fall for her for real, so it's not like her strategy is completely ineffective.

Of course Shino must find her own way to fight for Naoya. Actually, if she just goes to Saki and tells her she wants to become the third girlfriend so that Saki isn't the one with the smallest breast she might be accepted instantly.
